Ugh, as usual Bo misses the point.

I'm sure STA feels really badly that they can't build a time machine and turn double A back in 1980. Or even last year, within the two-year MSHSL window to opt up (or down).

It had to happen some time. I guess you were wanting them to opt up in a year when they sucked at single-A?

Conversely, you people would absolutely be foaming at the mouth if they had the same results this year but had NOT announced their decision to opt-up.

Time to go hating on Totino, since they'll now step into the breach at 4A.

Do you really want me to explain my point? It'll be brutal.

I don't like to think of it in terms of being at 'the bottom of the hill.'

I prefer to think of it as still breathing.

I've thought that the year STA should be kicking themselves over is the Year Cretin won the tournamnet (2006?) That year, Hill and Holy Angels were were the consensus top 2, and everyone else was a step or two below them. Holy Angels lost in the section semi. Hill lost to Grand Rapids in the tournament semifinal. Cretin pounded GR in the final. STA won the Girls division.

Had STA been AA and been in Cretin's section, it's entirely possible STA could have won that section. Cretin won the championship fair and square, no squabbles there. But there are a lot of years that team loses in the first round or maybe the second.

And Totino-Grace will have to get past the reigning Class A Public School Champion before they get hated on.
