Which Sophomore goalie will maintain Good play?

Post by gh12345 » Wed Jan 04, 2006 9:20 pm

Which of the these top sophomores will maintain the good play?

Jack Hanna, 295 min, 10 GA, 1.73 GAA
Colten Schwartz, 580 min, 29 GA, 2.55 GAA
Joe Phillippi, 323 min, 11 GA, 1.74 GAA
Mike Morgan, 385 min, 6 GA, .79 GAA
Stephen Teasdale- 269 min, 7 GA, 1.33 GAA

I feel if these goalies keep getting time to play only 1 or 2 of them will keep up the good play. If I had to choose I would pick Phillippi. He has a strong team in front of him and is keeping his goals against per game below 2.

Hanna.

He was the best Bantam A goalie in the state last year. He has better skills and concentration than any I have seem from this group in the past. But, I have not seen them all.

Arguably, Phillipi played extremely well against WBL (stopping Grun on the door step, etc). However, WBL has not proven they are the best scoring team around. Other than that, his performance against STA was dismall and the other teams he faced were nothing to write home about. He has also shown an ability in the past to lose focus.

i'm not saying he is matin brodeur but he has been good for a soph and hasn't kicked any in, had one bounce off his back, or given up a 150 footer.

What's your point? When did Hanna do any of these things? I'd like to see the most important stat in my book, save %.

Hanna of centennial is great for his age, he should only get better if he works.

Hanna and Phillipi are the two best goalies from the sophomore class in my mind.
