Always a battle when the Thunderhawks and Lumberjacks lock horns. Both games 4-4 ties last year. I love rivalry games. Go Lumberjacks!!

I'm thinking that GR will win the game at home easily but the game at Cloquet this year will be a much closer one.

Let's take a poll on who do you want to win and not on who you think will win. In these big rivalry games, I love the battle, will, and passion of the fans and players on both sides. It might be -30 degrees outside, but the place will be packed to the gills, the band playing, and hearts beating rapidly in anticipation of the clash between the purple and the orange.

Cloquet, would like to see the purple and gold win for no other reason than to muck up the seeding picture a bit more.

Rapids, believe they will win.

Want Rapids to win, but I think Cloquet will win 4-3 OT.
DE could've "easily" won state the last 5 years.

Found the sticky link. I swear I looked at it earlier and they only had games listed for 1/4. EP vs PL and BSM vs Wayzata are both nice options not to detract from this 7AA match-up I'd love to see. Keep the updates coming Kniven.

Nope. That one is my favorite line of the year. Not meaning to pick on anyone.

Cloquet controlled play early in this one outshooting GR big in the 1st but Avery Peterson scored with 30 sec left in the first & Hunter Shepard was a wall again. More of the same early on in the 2nd but GR started to find their legs and took control of the game. Another late goal, this one by Eric Sodeberg put GR up 2 and the shots got a little closer. Was all GR in the 3rd on goals by Jason Koehn, Luke Keeney & Jonah Bischoff. GR bottled up Cloquet and probably played their best defensive period of the season holding Cloquet to only 5 shots in the period. Final shots were 36-33 Cloquet.

Rapids took another step towards a top 2 seed in 7AA.
