Who's going to win, who's overrated, who's cheap.

For JGA I know that the obvious Edina and Wayzata are the favorites that everyone has to win, but i feel like there are a few sleeper teams that have been playing some really solid puck lately like Eden Prairie and Stillwater. Im gonna take the classic match up of the birds and the bees in the championship. The winner is really a toss up as of now. Who doesnt love an EP Edina Final?

At the end of the day it was a Wayzata - Edina match up, the two teams tied for first place in the regular season and as even a game as you could hope for. Wayzata gets the title in the second overtime on a beautiful snipe. .

Awesome job by the Edina association hosting all three levels of JR Gold this year. It was a classy event done right at a venue that oozes hockey tradition. An extra special shout out to Steve Pearson and his Edina JGB White team for a great win and his first well deserved state title. Lakeville took the 16U division with a 1-0 over Stillwater.

Congratulations to everyone this year and especially to the seniors from all teams.
