A few observations:
At the 17s level, all the girls with the exception of Bergland are returning selections from last year, and she was selected as a 15. Eight of the eleven players are making their third straight appearance (Kolstad and Schugel were on the alternates list as 15s). The 7 F and 4 D initial allocation is the same as Minnesota had at the 17s last year (after the at-large bids were awarded, we ended up with 10 F, 5 D, and 2 G).
At the 16s level, only Langei and Wallin weren't selected as 15s (Langei was on the alternates list). The 7 F and 5 D allocation is down from the 8 F and 6 D numbers at 16s last year (after the at-large bids were awarded, we ended up with 11 F, 7 D, and 1 G). For the group at 16s this year, there are 18 girls who participated at the 15s national camp (10 F, 6 D, and 2 G). There were actually 19 girls who received bids, but Aney apparently did not attend so one girl may have been a replacement for her.
