At leas the Pioneer Press has the balls to say they are picking the East Metro team. Star & Sickle claims it's all-metro, but we know better.

Selected 3rd team. A scattering of (not very in-depth) articles on Hub this am.

I thought I read yesterday that CDH #6 was player of the year? There are obviously different awards from different entities. Not sure what's what. Regardless, congrats to all the selections and graduating seniors.

It is the all metro top 5 hockey players, not scorers, HUGE difference!

Whether you agree with either paper congratulations to the players mentioned. The first qualifications in their opinion is watching them play or getting reports on their performances.

This differs from the MGHCA qualifications(miss hockey and goalie) where number 1 is that the coach is a fully paid up member of that organization. Also a small word of advice; if donating money to any group make sure to double check that your donations are tax deductible. There are a number of organizations that claim to be non-profit 501(c)3 that are not. The IRS has a site where you can check on any non profit. IRS exempt organizations.

Congrats to all the girls, all very talented players and nice mix of talent. East side appears to have a lot more younger players. The Blaine and Centennial girls were very very solid playing against much older players, will be fun to see how far they progress in the coming years.

Correct regarding Blaine and Centennial. For their 20 player Section rosters, Blaine had 4 freshman and 10 sophomores on their team. Centennial had one 8th grader, 7 freshman, and 4 sophomores. Lots of good young players to watch on both teams for the next couple/few years.
