Who's gonna take section 8AA next year?

Post by MNHockey11 »

There has got to be many opinions on this one. With Moorhead losing 15 seniors will they still be able to be at the top of their section?

Roseau should be good but Moorhead will still be the favorite regardless of the big senior loss.

8AA is getting very weak with only 1 or 2 good teams each year.

Anyone know how St. Cloud Tech will be?

Moorhead is going to win there section pretty much every year. 8AA is the weakest section, with the best team in state lol<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

Roseau or Moorhead

Post by Green and White Fan »

Without knowing much about the St. Cloud schools, I see the region championship being played again by Moorhead and Roseau. Moorhead loses alot of seniors, but has a great JV team. Roseau has closed the gap and next year should be a toss up. The following few years, the tables should turn with Roseau being the favorite. Roseau has beaten Moorhead 4 out of 5 games at the Bantam level and both play this weekend in the MAHA state tournament.

Spuds will be tough next year because they know they will have to work hard to win with the loss of 15 seniors. The junior class next year is the one that won both Bantam State Tourneys last year.
Just Re-Loading for another trip to state.

Moorhead will continue to be very good the next few years. Roseau has closed the gap and is getting back to being a "REAL" contender and not just #2 behind Moorhead.

Next year, Roseau could get the #1 seed, depending how the Spuds/ Rams series goes.

How many transfer players did Moorhead have? Do you think that trend is going to change in the years to come? Moorhead has a great youth program to contribute to the High School program AND top notch transfer students. Roseau may beat their Bantams now, but what about 3 years from now.

Alright lets keep the transfer business out of this conversation. I agree Moorhead is going to have to work hard to replace the seniors and will do fine with their Junior class next year.

Now that the open enrollment trail has been blazed to Moorhead expect it to continue. I would love to see Roseau make about a 4 to 5 year run but my guess is that Moorhead will just retool with area talent. Hope I am wrong on that assumption but IMHO it seems once the open enrollment starts it just continues.

Moorhead will win the section, but both Bemidji and Roseau can give them very tough games next season.

_________________

BOB

Moorhead in '06

Hey Birdmister, How did your JV do this past season? What was their record against Moorheads JV? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">
JLS 81, As for Moorhead bringing in area talent? You surely arent talking about our nearest Minnesota high school hockey program DL (Detroit Lakes which is 45 miles away) or were you referring to Fargo, ND as area talent? I dont think they have much to offer since the students parents would have to live in Minnesota to enroll in a MN school.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... tohead9 at: 3/13/05 10:00 am
