Actually, after Rapids finished killing a PP with a about a couple minutes left in the 1st, CEC didn't get another recorded SOG until the 8 minute mark of the 3rd period.
It is what it is!

Watched the Eden Prairie and Cretin game tonight. EP won 4-0.

EP played a physical and powerful brand of hockey in both zones. Offensive rushes would often barrel through defenders. It seemed like they favored individual efforts over passing the majority of the game.

Wiencek looked great in net for EP. He made a couple big time saves and otherwise looked sharp. CDH could have easily had a couple goals.

Graham had a goal and an assist. His goal was a layup. An Erwin shot/pass came off the end boards right to Graham on the doorstep. Nice goal.

Interesting night for Mittelstadt. His power move to the slot should be patented. It's a great move, but never resulted in a goal as it did against Farmington. Despite only notching one assist, he still had a number of fun moments. He was stickhandling around everybody pretty much at will. His acceleration and speed through the neutral zone is impressive. As soon as EP gets the puck I tend to just watch him get into position to receive the puck. However, he could have passed a bit more. On the PP, CDH took an ill-advised change which created a 5 on 2, and Mittelstadt had the puck. He put some sick moves and stickhandling on and hit the crossbar, but it may have resulted in an easy goal if they would have started moving the puck. I'll continue to spend my $7 to watch this kid play. It's always a show.

Can't wait for Friday to see what M&G will do against BSM.

I think BSM EP will be a great game. I will take EP though 5-3 with CM always coming out in huge games.
