Depends on which Skips team shows up. If it's the one that beat EP, they can beat anybody

Depends on which Skips team shows up
This is a year that you could take the word "Skips" out and replace with any team.

For example: "Trojans", "Panthers", even "Hounds".

The parity this year from #2-#10 is amazing, and it might extend from #1-#10 if BSM loses to Tonka, and then drops another at EP in a week.

Agree with that...... And just going by history, the odds of RK remaining undefeated thru Feb 13 are low, chances are they will lose a couple before playoffs . Tonite could be one of them

1-1 after one; an entertaining first period. BSM totally dominated the first 8 minutes or so, but then Tonka grabbed a goal on its first shot of the game and it was fairly even after that, perhaps slight edge to Tonka due to a PP.

Benilde has a lot of carryover PP time heading into the 2nd. When they're at their best their puck movement can't be beat, but they do need to make sure their defensemen aren't running around all over the place. Tonka is smart and disciplined enough to cash in on some chances they leave themselves too open.

2-1 BSM after 2. Connor Mayer with the goal; he's been everywhere on the ice tonight.

That was nice, strong period from start to finish from Benilde; they cleaned up the excessive pinching from the first. But Tonka is pesky and hanging in there, and did have a couple of quality chances here and there. Should be an interesting 3rd.

A lot of credit to the Red Knights; they never stop skating. Their back-checking saved them a number of times in this one, and while Tonka tried to pick its spots and spring some odd-man rushes, BSM almost always was able to turn them away and then generate something at the other end. That work rate is what keeps them undefeated, even without the talent of some of the other recent #1s. (That said, they were clearly the more talented team in this one...Tonka does a good job of hanging in there and has good depth, but lack that player who can take a game over late and make something really happen.)

Give credit to Hanson on keeping Tonka in the game. Benilde was the better team last night. When Benilde gets 2nd and 3rd lines scoring like last night they are difficult to beat.

I like this Tonka team as they are fast and make you pay for your mistakes.

Benilde was very good last night. They played fast, their D moved the puck up the ice, forwards came back hard to help defensively and goalie was very good. Seemed to roll 3 lines and 2 sets of D from start to finish.

Good crowd at SLP.

Very entertaining game. BSM was clearly the better team for the najority of the game. But we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that some teams might have fallen behind by two or three in that first five or six minutes of this one. Minnetonka showed some grit by not folding early in this one. After giving up that quick goal they kept there heads and made a game of it. Minnetonka fell behind 1-0, 2-1, and finally 3-2 but kept working.

Yeah, I knew you would like that super ref. How about if it doesn't happen (which it won't) Pauly ditches the beetle haircut and burns the god awful red sports coat?

....and stops stealing Edina kids?

I don't have any skin in the bet so sounds like a fair trade off to me.

How many Edina kids are on this years team?
