After long days of travelling and catching the stinking flu, here we go:
Week 7 was a short list of games, allowing the possibility of the need for the tiebreaker.
First we had ER/Z vs Blaine, not surprising that it was evenly split among the contestants . ER/Z wins in OT, with CLUTTERBUCKET getting the correct score.
Next came EAGAN vs EV, a possible section final preview . Snodgrass has a hatty, but, the game ends in a tie. We had zero pick the tie so, it was a wash for everyone.
The BLAKE vs EP really surprised most of us. 4 chose EP to win, with K14 and PUCKDREAMS hitting the correct score.
The last game to really note would be FL vs ER/Z. 14 picked ER/Z, with MR RIGHT hitting the score,. FL never trailed in the game until the game winner in OT.

WEEK 7 , HOLIDAY PICK-EM RESULTS
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
HOLIDAY RESULTS:
Surprising that only 3 people had more than 1 correct champion picked, plus only 3 correct scores
WALSER:
Everybody hit on the semifinal winners, but, none chose BRECK to win.
This was one of the only two games I was able to attend. BRECK was up 3-0 on only 6 shots. BRECK's play then became, if we can't get the puck to Zumwinkle, ice the puck to get a shift change because EDINA was all over them. EDINA finally tied the game when they pulled the goalie. The shot went off of 2 players then into the net. OT produces nothing, so SO follows.
There were three goals made in the SO. Fidler for Edina , Billing and Mobley for BRECK
MG took 3rd while GR/G won cons
MELTDOWN (EP)
This tourney seemed to give everyone a fit, nobody picked the two semi winners and only 2 picked one of the semi winners.
Only Rascalbrock chose TONKA as champ
EP was 3rd
EAGAN cons
BORDER BATTLE (BLAINE)
Not much surprise here, everyone chose BLAINE to win( except goaliedefense)
WBL 3rd
FL cons
KAPOSIA(SSP)
ER/Z being on such a good run, caused me to go see the ER/Z vs HM game.
ER/Z is a big team with some speed and are well coached. HM is a young team with some speed and some good players. Both teams controlled play at times in the offensive zone. ER/Z discipline was obvious at times while HM tried to depend too much on skill. Also, I don't think I have seen a team that rolls 12 forwards and 6 def the whole game without variation as HM did. A good game that ER/Z won 3-1.
ER/Z run ended against BLAKE, losing 1-0 in the championship game
HM took 3rd
MOUNDSVIEW cons
FINAL:
RASCALBROCK had one correct score, picked 7/8 semi winners , and 3/4 champions for 39 pts very well done!
