Originally intended to drive down.
I waited at Shep's from 4:30 until darn near 7:00 to see if you'd show up :-s
As usual I heard from parents about how bad the reffing was
Uh...they did call a 2 minute penalty against Brainerd late in the 3rd period that looked more like a check from behind that me and my Shady cohorts thought should've a 5 minute penalty#-o
As usual I heard from parents about how bad Brainerd parents/fans were etc etc...
That part is not true [-( I thought the overall crowd on both sides were pretty well behaved :-k
But once again the teams proved right...2 OT games and a one goal game...
It looked to me that the overtime goal went in off a Bemidji players stick  I think that was the source of the big meltdown at the end of the game [-X with allz that said it was a very entertaining game =D>

My feeling was Bemidji might have been the only team that could give Moorhead a good run. Obviously I hope I am wrong. It is crazy how a team can have another team's number. Obviously Brainerd matches up very well with Bemidji.

A lot of goals for the normally 91%er Jack tender? Did the D give up too many easy opportunities to let Brainerd back in the game? Or did forwards go into defensive mode?

Anyway, a good statement game for the future by Brainerd. Congrats to them!

I cant believe how balanced Section 8 was. Every first round playoff game but one was overtime!

Heard that loud and clear from the player's mother.

According to The Hub, STMA - STC was done in regulation.

I don't think the Hub has ever indicated a game went into overtime. It only says "Final" for the CEC/DM game, but we know that was double OT.

On the Schedules/Results page....It says 'Final/OT' on the little box to the right of the result. Also if you click on the box scores tab it will show multiple overtimes listed as OT1, OT2, etc.

They ALWAYS have - if you open up the game stats, it shows scoring in Per 1, 2 3 & O/T.

The CEC / DM stats show CEC scored a goal in O/T 2.

Who's the idiot that threw the student manager to the ice at the end? As if he had anything to do with Bemidji losing...

Not good! Why was the student manager on the ice? Must have been lip jacking Bemidji players?

The video is disturbing to say the least. After the player takes the down the Mgr. his own teammate has to jerk him away. Old school hockey looking but not acceptable at the high school level. Didn't EP have something like this a few years ago?

Yes, that is correct. It was the 2015 section 6AA semi-final at Braemar Arena. Lasted about 30 seconds.

Reminds me of the ending of Slapshot with the band playing during the brawl.

"puttin' on the foil coach..."

Video appears to show Number 24, hp national camp participant.

As far as the coach sending an apology, a real class act would have made the kids involved go down to the locker room of brainerd and personally apologize.
