Petition for Hermantown to move to the Class they belong in

Post by Jeffy95 »

Saw this on Facebook this afternoon. Someone started a petition on change.org to move Hermantown to AA. Looks like over 100 signatures so far.

Petition is at the following link:

It appears the person starting this petition lives in Bovey. :)

131 Signatures in 3 hours. Looks like mostly outstate folks so far. Wait until the Duluth, Proctor, North Shore and rest of the Rangers see it. This could blow up the internet!

3 million people can sign it. It does not mean anything. The petition would not be legally binding in any way. Bottom line is that they are playing where the rules state they belong.

Just saying.

I just hope the program already knows where they belong and that rumors are true and they move up.

-They schedule all the toughest AA programs in youth and high school

-Then drop down to grab the A trophy

-Nothing better than pillagers...

No, obviously it's not legally binding. But they're now getting called out on a National Forum. They say if it gets to 100,000 it requires a response from the White House. Maybe Beth Clark will get a phone call from Trump. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

If all AA schools refused to play them, problem solved.

Chill out! At least wait till the conclusion of the tournament... maybe somebody else wins the A tourney this year.

Irrelevant, no one is going to believe Hermantown isn't the best in class A.

Why would AA schools not schedule them. They get the best of both worlds, a great competitive game but don't have to deal with them in playoffs or state tournament. Why don't all the A schools drop them. Make them travel more for games. Why make it easy for them?

Happy to sign this petition. Too bad they set the goal at only 200 signatures. Gotta think big when confronting runaway avarice. :)

Edit: They have moved the goal up to 500 signatures, and they have over 400 so far. :o

The petition will be submitted to the Hermantown AD. Interesting...

Yes, maybe someone could start a hashtag campaign too. Just as effective as an internet petition.

Seems like everybody who doesn't like something has a protest! Maybe enough people can close the roads so they can't get to the X??

That is true. Whenever I have something I'm against I just pick up another bottle of Whiskey. :)

When has petition or protest ever caused the actual desired change?
