St. Louis Park vs Blake - two surprisingly good teams
Warroad vs Roseau
Wayzata vs Hill-Murray - Trojans appear capable of beating good teams
Blaine vs Minnetonka
Lakeville South vs Holy Family Catholic - Are the Fire a clear #5
Stillwater Area vs Cretin-Derham Hall - CDH seems dangerous to me
Moorhead vs Brainerd - Could Brainerd be 8AA fave?
Maple Grove vs Andover

Plenty of good matchups. Surprising that Grand Rapids and Duluth East isn't on the list. Preseason it sure would have been.
Be kind. Rewind.

I wonder what the over or under will be for shots on goal for East. Wish I was going to the game. Worth more than the $4 to get in to watch Holum.

Duluth schools are closed today due to ice. Doesn’t look like they’ll be playing tonight.

When do they generally make a decision on rescheduling when games aren’t played like this?

The ADs will be working today on that. Looking at both teams schedules, only logical day to make it up is tomorrow..

No chance it will be tomorrow night. GRG Lightning are using the ice for their game.

When I'm visiting Dul/Sup so FRUSTRATING that My9 is NOT a High Definition TV station. The station management are either cheap or Morons (or both) I'd rather listen to games on the radio than watch a hockey game in standard definition,

Most totally agree who live up here. My9 broadcast of high school hockey is truest amateur tv. Radio broadcast listening and HD in your head much, much better.

Brainerd shuts out Moorhead, 5-0
Andover shuts out Maple Grove, 4-0

Because I feel like it......
Karl (East) 3 win ranked team Blaine 1 Minnetonka 10

Being in conference with 7AA teams sure has its advantages :D

No, Blaine is not very good. Their tie with Duluth East says more about East than it does about Blaine.

Duluth East tied 3 win Blaine and tied WBL who lost to Rochester Century. Karl uses one game against Minnetonka to make East #1, his team no less..... STA, Edina, and Tonka have better resumes.

EP has CEC Friday night then Duluth East Saturday afternoon. I am certain EP looking to make a statement vs. 7AA and get back to winning ways. Maybe the Eagles look past Cloquet?

South could have put Eden Prairie into running time if they chose too. EP isn't very good this year. They have a losing record for a reason. I am sure any team would look to make a statement......

More recent results often influence rankings more than other results. I feel like Edina, Minnetonka, STA, and East are the top 4 teams and could be ranked in any order. Yes, East tied Blaine, which is not a great result, but Minnetonka tied Lakeville North, which is also a bad result. When East wasn't playing as well Karl had them ranked as low as 5 I believe, now that they're playing better he has them ranked higher. I don't really understand how else rankings can be created other than to try to place teams where they belong based on how they are playing.

Is Blaine worse than Lakeville North? I'm not sure they are...

And in any case the transitive property doesn't really work in sports for a variety of reasons: Specific match-ups, one team playing particularly well or poorly, travel...there could be a host of reasons why DE tied Blaine and Tonka tied LN, but it doesn't tell us too much about how DE compares directly with Tonka, only head-to-head does.

Tonka Watchers: did 3rd and 4th lines get a lot of ice time in the 2nd and 3rd periods of the Blaine game? Coach G. is going to need these kids to have gametime eyes and legs down the stretch in the Lake and playoffs....

I really like the seniors he had on a third line for the Chaska game. Will watch today.
