7AA 2018-2019

Post by kniven »

Duluth East, Andover, Cloquet, Elk River

Duluth Marshall and Grand Rapids. Who’s better on paper for next year. I would think Rapids with a nice Bantam AA coming in next year. Andover, East, and CEC look loaded. JP is the big, giant, key for the Elks. Time for 8 months of speculation to begin.

I see Andover as the favorite in 7AA. Aside from one key senior graduating forward, they have their ENTIRE varsity team back, including their goalie. I expect both Cloquet & DE to give them a run for their money & if Perbix returns, ER will also be a factor, but next season is the best chance for a TC team to go to State out of 7AA since Jaremko & ER in 2015!

Agreed. Coach Manney and his Andover kids will definitely be, and are, the favorites.

Well done Kniven! Not even mid-March yet! I predict there will be 10 pages of opinions before the end of June!

Well it’s all still juicy talk with youth hockey tournaments and HP spring hockey. Once those are over, it pretty much dries up in here until September and the elite league. It’s fun to speculate and discuss our favorite sport anyway - Minnesota High School Hockey / 7 AA.

We'll get there by the end of April if Elliott keeps up his four posts in four minutes, each three words or less.

I'll give this a go.

1 - Andover
2 - CEC
3 - Duluth East
4 - Elk River
5 - Duluth Marshall
6 - Grand Rapids
7 - Forest Lake
8 - St. Francis
9 - Cambridge-Isanti

East and ER could possibly be swapped, as well as GR and Marshall. I think the top two and bottom three are probably pretty solid in their spots.

Well going by HockyHub way too early top 10. It would go

2. East
3.CEC
4. Elk
Then the rest since the top for are in HH top 20.

Is Duluth Marshall graduating a lot of talent?

The depth of their star talent this year is graduating.

Levi Stauber
Willy Stauber
George Grannis
Cam Brandt

There are some players with some great potential that will be on the roster next season.

Nolan Krenzen
Keelan Golat
Peter Hansen

There will be some holes to fill, and we will see how some others step up in the likes of Danny Klatt, Aiden Bachand, Carter Sullivan, Alex Busick (G), etc.

Looks like Summerfest fell how it was expected, sort of. Andover was all over East, like they had something on their minds ;) It was a pretty open game until the end when East put 2 in the net. Only amps up the hype for this game come Dec. 8th. This one is in Andover so I expect it to be quite exciting.

7AA needs a Cloquet vs. East final so someone will have to upset Andover in the playoffs prior. Would Amsoil Arena be sold out for this clash? Yes, I think it would. :)!!!

It will be interesting to see how Andover handles the pressure all season with the "target" on their back. Their matchup on Hockey Day could be a 1 vs 2. I have a feeling Coach Randolph likes the "underdog" role
