"As a nine year old in awe, Iíd always dreamt of throwing on the Maroon & Gold. Today, I am thrilled to announce my commitment to the University of Minnesota. Thanks to my family, teammates, coaches, and friends who helped me realize my dream. #SkiUMah #PrideOnIce #Gophers"

He seems to be a firm commitment to the U, regardless of coaching.

Itís kind of refreshing to see a late commit to a big-time college program. The timing kind of stinks with the coaching change taking place, but Iím sure Lucia was not the driving force behind the choice and recruits have been aware of the potential for his departure.

I assume that he will spend at least one year in the USHL. While not the biggest guy, McGregor is a great skater and tough for his size, and was always super productive, even when defenses focused hard on trying to stop him.
