It is a verbal commitment. They are honored. But not set in stone.

If you think Lucia pulled his offer you are nuts. I know from talking to my sources both Minnesota & North Dakota offered him Full rides and he chose North Dakota because he felt more comfortable there. UND has landed a very good one in Forney - It was in the Herold today

A little bitter aren't we?

"50 kids in Minnesota as good" --Yup, that must be why multiple scouting services (i.e. McKeen's, Red Line Report) have Forney ranked in the top 10-20 in the WORLD (along with Phil Kessel, Jonathan Toews, Eric Johnson, Peter Mueller, Kyle Okposo..) for the 2006 NHL draft.

Section 8 onlooker - I think we need to find you a padded room somewhere so you don't hurt yourself. Are you having a hard time understanding that in this area of the state people feel more comfortable with UND. According to the last RED LINE report Michael Forney was ranked #9 in the WORLD. Now maybe some teams should contact you to find out who the 49 players from Minnesota are so they could recruit them.

Why is it every time a top kid commits to another school the first thing I see is "Minnesota pulled their offer at the last minute" why not just admit that not every top end player wants to play for the Golden Gophers

Just the facts, buddy, just the facts.

Ask Lucia about being in TRF on Sunday. Ask him what the offer was. Ask him when the offer expired. I'll give you a hint. It was before UND coaches drove to TRF on Tuesday.

What is your point? Lucia made his offer and Forney passed. Minnesota obviously wanted him bad. The "deadline" seems like last ditch desperation--by then Lucia probably knew that if he didn't have commitment before Hakstol got to town it was ballgame over. He probably wanted the time to make an offer to the next kid on his list. Again, so what? The Sioux won this one.

I am curious spudmania - did you just get a new computer or did you finally learn how to use one in Moorhead. You show your true intelligence with some of your statements. I am sure UND is upset they did not contact you first to get the real scoop on Forney.
