Nice article. Being a GREEN WAVE fan, they were rated in the top 3 all year. That was the year I most expected us to win it all, but, we did not win a single game. Bummer.
What is a Green Wave anyway?

Fantastic article. I remember reading it at the time.
Most of all I remember this line from near the end of the article, about the players leaving the Mariner locker room after losing the final 6-0:

I imagine it had been quite some time since those boys had lost 6-0.

It was a very sympathetic and touching line, enough so that even a Pioneer could feel empathy for those White Bear kids. And ever since, when I see a good team lose badly in a huge game, I always think about the kids on the losing side.

i just breezed through it, but I'll take a longer look later. It's interesting to note what hasn't changed, and what hasn't.

Are you talking about Hermantown's buttwhoppin in the semi's this year? :lol:
