Huglen and Jutting must both be doing before/after? They each made Team USA for Hlinka so they would otherwise be auto-bids for roster spots.
Definitely a couple misses at Goalie. As usual, about a dozen puzzlers on players who made it in general (though I wouldn't say half of each team's roster )
Found it interesting that Motzko was one of the only transfers who has his old team listed, and it conveniently allows him to be placed on a team with seemingly more openings.

Can you post the names or PM?WestMetro wrote:With one rostered but likely recovering from injuries and another not on roster, Sept elite action will probably be missing two top 10 goalies
Henkemeyer-Howe is going to Magicians. Unsure if it’s a full time things or before and after.
Section 5 is light. Daniger seems to be a miss as well for Blaine.
Congratulations to my CEC boys and the rest of the 218 pucksters

My friends from Moorhead say Howe is doing before and after. Sounds like he'll be a Spud.ThatMNHockeyGuy62 wrote:Also noticed no Henkemeyer Howe from Moorhead. Lots of misses from the tryout list. Southwest STACKED. Frisch, Haider, Jutting, Helgeson out. Fritsinger, Glocker, Hanson, Mueller only returning goalies. Huge miss in Brennan Boynton from Champlin. Don’t even recognize 4 of the goalies
So many youngins.

There must be an explanation for that miss, right?

He was on the final day tryout list, as was Daninger. Both solid seniors imo.
Had some puck talk at super rink last night. Might see more goalies looking for more or different options in future. According to one dad, of all the senior goalies from last year, only one found a USHL/ NAHL home in STA’s Kelly.
Not saying elite should be a lifetime service award, but section 5AA last two years was Haider, Boynton, Travis Allen and Joe Daninger. One graduated and of the other 3, Haider has come and gone. Boynton has been a top 10-15 goalie last 3 years. Kid started as a freshman too. Look at the rosters and I can’t make sense of it. Maybe I’m wrong?

Yeah, it will be interesting to watch. Obviously at that position one team's JV lifer is another team's 3-4 year varsity workhorse, not an easy comparison on the surface.

I am literally blown away by the number of CEC pucksters. Duluth East averages this every single year. So it’s unfamiliar territory for me and CEC Hockey for sure.northwoods oldtimer wrote:Nice! finally Knivsy and I can stop oinking about CEC snubskniven wrote:Congratulations to my CEC boys and the rest of the 218 pucksters

Roster updates for Elite League
Looks like there was some movement in Elite League (no longer see Brink on there). Since I was bored at work and it doesn't appear to have been done anywhere, I listed all teams with 5 or more selections. Was looking over my shoulder once in a while, so forgive and correct if I screwed up somewhere.
Minnetonka: 11 (1 listed as HF, other listed as Cathedral)
DE: 10
Edina: 7
Chaska: 7
STA: 7
Cloquet: 6
EP: 6
Greenway: 6 (Only Single A team with five or more... Hermantown has 4)
Andover: 5
HF: 5
Pretty striking the numbers for Single A teams after Greenway and Hermantown. Defending champs Orono have zero. Mahtomedi has 1. Alexandria also with 1. Of course others from Single A have representation, but those seem to be considered the front runners this season.

Re: 2018 elite league
Seems like the rosters were intentionally removed--any steam why? Play gets underway next week.

Re: 2018 elite league
Just guessing, but there was probably enough movement with injuries and players choosing to leave early or do before/after that they wanted to wait until season starts before making them public again.
