Interesting. First I’ve heard of it. List of players available anywhere yet? That’s only a few weeks away so I’d imagine the players have been notified.

I can't find anything on this event other than the basic info I linked, but it is listed on the TRIA Rink calendar:
State of Hockey All-Star Game
https://www.triarink.com/event/show/426781500

I'd hope that Hockey Hub, YHH, State of Hockey, or some other media outlet would get on this story and find out who's playing.

The word "Prep" in the title makes me wonder if it will also include players not playing MSHSL this year. i.e. Shattuck, AAA, NAHL, USHL ? Also is it for Seniors only?

Very interesting !!!

But seems duplicative in many respects? , same people have been watching the same Minn kids at New Hope , Blaine, Pittsburgh, individual game arenas , and previous Prospects game . But I suppose can never get too many good looks .

As soon as list comes out, we will know if anyone on XO early departure list will be returning after all.

Is it sanctioned by the MSHSL? Are active HS players allowed to participate during the season?

The MSHSL season starts on November 12th this year so the timing works with the league.

I wouldn't think the invitees would have to pay money to play in an all-star prospects game. There may be a physical "cost" in playing another game, but it's up to them to decide to accept the invitations. I'd be curious if someone like Bobby Brink will play. He's only a junior, supposedly committed to the USHL, but the HS season wouldn't start yet so theoretically he'd be eligible (if the game is limited to MSHSL players and not open to Tier 1 or early departures to UHSL/NAHL). Hopefully, we'll find out more soon. The game was just announced yesterday.

I wouldn't think the event wouldn't happen without someone making some money. Bee/honey, moth/flame, etc. Guess we'll see.

Very interesting list for a few reasons:

No Brink (as you mentioned JD)
No Huglen (USHL?)
No Jutting (NAHL or injuries?)
No Warnert (Guessing still recovering from injury?)
Brodzinski included (confirming reports he is back?)
Jensen included (thought he was out until December at the earliest?)

Jutting has played last 2 weeks with Magicians. Saw him in his first game back. So he is healthy. Jensen has resumed skating according to an EP parent.

I am to assume that only before and afters allowed back? No FT junior hockey players still in hs?

No Hillman? Some suspect kids on that list vs omitted ones. Looks like the elite league to me. :?

No Henkemeyer-Howe?

The lack of St. Cloud State recruits concerns me. There's one at least, but there should have been four. :(

St. Cloud typically is not too far behind. Appears they like to meet up with the Gophs on the back 9

If Huglen is indeed coming back like Roseau fans seem to think, that would be the obvious choice. Others could be Jutting, Warnert, Henkemeyer-Howe, or Hillman? Assuming all healthy that is.
