Bemidji is west of Duluth, not south.

B for Badgers or Buckeyes
And a bit north.

Thanks for the geography lesson BB. Apparently the sarcasm wasn’t obvious.

Totally on his timeline.

And now that its been confirmed, and re-confirmed over the weekend that it IS hockey related...he must take his time to decide his future.

Stay or head south?

Both mascots start w/ a 'B'...

BUMD---that's what many are feeling about his change; especially the Dog's if they aren't an option. BGB

No mention of any issues in this article on Donovan:

The Duluth paper now posts this on the de-commitment. It includes a quote from Ryder:

Breakups are hard. I hope the Fighting Hawks can get over this.

Any rumors as to front runners to land him? I have to imagine UMD is in the mix depending upon openings they have relative to when he'd be Div I ready.

One thing about UMD is that they finished out their NCAA run with a VERY low number of committed players. While Michigan & Wisconsin were up around 35, I think the Bulldogs were at 8.

Ootc-you don’t think they’d have to hold back one of their planned next season commits, McCabe or Meyer, to fit Ryder in? How about if Tufte doesn’t leave?

I doubt SCSU is even in the running, but my guess is that they could work him in pretty easily. There are two Motzko recruits listed for next season that I doubt will be brought in. Brock Baker is doing "okay" in the USHL and Joe Molenaar is older but also doing just "okay" in the USHL. Either of those guys could be deferred for a player like Donovan. But again, I doubt SCSU is in the picture, regardless of the relationship with Coach Larson.

XO- same exact thought had occurred to me! As well as Broz slot open since he’s moving to Gophs

I wouldnt assume Scsu is out of the running until they actually are

Still can’t believe LaMaster picked Big 10 over NCHC, and I hope Ryder doesn’t ! Almost like against religion for a Duluth kid !

Doesn't he have a brother playing juniors out there somewhere. Maybe a package deal would get the job done.

Shay Donovan, right? Playing in the NAHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, I believe.

The Huskies probably do have room to add a walk-on defenseman for next season, but he'd have to be comfortable with the fact that he'd likely never be more than a practice player. Ultimately, I think he'd be appreciative but unwilling to ride his little brother's coattails. My guess is he'll go D3 or at best BSU.

Doubtful he will be going to BSU.
They have right now a junior, 2 sophs and 2 freshmen with at least 3 committed to be here next year.

Again, it's either in town or a handful of hours to the south/southeast...either way? Both mascots begin with a 'B'.

So we are thinking
Bulldogs
Badgers
Bravericks
Buskies
or
everyone' favorite (or least)
Bolden Bophers

Only Ryder knows , and at this point we assume still weighing all options (just so they are NCHC). LaMaster may surprise and change his mind too, and come back from the dark side, there is your package deal!

D East are the cake eaters of the north, so maybe this guy knows what he’s talking about. In that case, hope it’s Bulldogs. Better dead than red!
