Speaking of Frank, what's going on with White Bear Lake? Four senior D1 commits and after 10 games they are now 3-7.

I'm not sure many teams will have success with only 14 goals in 10 games. Only 8 scored by forwards.

They'll have to get their D1 skaters on the ice over 35 minutes a game in February to have any chance to get to St. Paul. Maybe that's the end game.

Saw two of their games so far. Looks hard to get the puck distributed with 1F 2D and a goalie. It is a really bad team with the exception of 4 players. WBL had their whole Varsity team minus the Seniors play the JV game against Flake and they lost 11-0. So basically other than 4 players (one is a goalie) you have a bad JV team.

Look at their roster and compare to 12's when they were in State.
Only Frank, Delarosa and Larson remain. Out shot 37-12 against Flake. The cupboard is bare 10 of the 13 players that were n the U-12 A team are either playing at different schools or are done.

Of course you're forgetting about Shearen so there are 4 players from that U12A team that went 43-5-2.

I say kudos to the gals who gut it out and stay with their community and don't spend a bunch of money trying to chase a state title. I would think the Senior girls who remain will be able to help the 7th and 8th grade girls who are taking regular shifts for the WBL team.

Wouldn't transferring from Cambridge to Pine City keep you on the same team?

I thought that was in 2020-21?

I also heard a Cambridge skater is making a more significant move than NWC.

Thanks to the Cambridge talk I found out that their stats didn’t pull correctly from girls hockey hub to EliteProspects. So I have fixed their stats!

Some good does from these rumors!

I heard the other day of a high profile goalie that was shopping around late this spring. Now plans to make a move from a small powerhouse to a big powerhouse on the west side.

Correct

I don't know if I'd call it shopping around though, she lives in Edina and for the most part the plan was always to go play at the private for 7th and 8th grade and then transfer back home. I will say that I heard that her dad was kind of leaning towards opening enrolling to EP at one point.

Good for her though, super talented and a very nice kid.

heard she had in invite to play boys JV at EP. Seems to me that would have been a better development choice. Goalie always struggle with development at Edina due to lack of being tested.

I am pretty sure the "Sheldon" family moved to Monticello in May.

I understand Edina has two move ins? One from Selects Academy and one apparently from Arizona who someone claimed will be their best forward this year? Anyone have details?

I have heard this news as well. I think it's only one skater - a Penn State commit from Arizona, who played for Selects Academy last year. If there's another one, good grief Edina, and, sorry for the mistake.

A few more I just found out

Cathy Kasica to Blake

First trade in high school history:

Holy Family trades veterans:

Sadie Lang to Farmington Jr
Mecenzie McMillian to BSM Jr

In exchange Holy Family gets

Grace Limke from Buffalo 9th
Justine Valentine from Hopkins 10th

Who got the better end this deal? Why did they leave?

Gentry has about 10 new skaters this season in addition to Reeves.

A new one - McKenzie Rich from Benilde to Shattuck.

This has been confirmed... no idea if she will be their best forward.
