Tonka dominates 1st period play but only leads 1-0 On goal by Doctor which Wiencke initially got good wood on but it squirted by him . Sogs not announced but probably 3 to 1 . MG missed two must make point blank opportunities on unusual Tonka blown D coverages , including a 4 on 1 . Tonka offensive depth is unbelievable


Update - 2nd period all Tonka . 4-0. Mg had one pp and couldn’t get a sog

Update- Janicke gets two in 3rd to make it respectable, then Tonka with the ENG to finish at 5-2

Rapids was down early 2-0 to Forest Lake but then came back with 3 unanswered to make it 3-2 after 1. I only saw the last goal as the stream is very choppy tonight.

Solid win for Tonka. MG had its chances to make this a somewhat different game--a couple great chances early on when it was still 0-0, a strong late 3rd as they pressed that included a goal that got waved off--but there were long stretches where Tonka just took control.

Otherwise, this has been a pretty good week for previously underachieving teams in purple, and Hastings got a nice win over Eagan down in the South St. Paul Premier tourney. The Raiders may make some noise in 1AA.

Accurate assessments by West and KarlEast...and West's SOG estimate of 3-1 is more accurate than the HUB, the shot counter must have had a hot date or took a nap after the 1st period. Although MG did have some great chances and just couldn't convert (and the waived off goal obviously didn't help).
