Check out this link for A LOT of useful information about HDM 2019. Parking/getting to the area could be a pain, so there is information in there on that. Also, I heard there will be some food trucks on site, so food options should be available.

Yup, and I will have to add a second pair of long-johns.

I know right? Those western suburban boys have it so easy the temperature never reaches below zero and they fly in helicopters to all their games.

I know, the spoiled little brats.
All kidding aside it will be cold, especially for the first game. If it wasn't the top 2 (by some accounts) I would consider staying in the tent.

Rumor is that if it is below zero the games will be moved inside.

Anyone know what the HDM rules are?

Will any of the games be streamed from a source other than FSN (if they even have one)?

Thanks

I think they’ve had a couple years with below 0 temps and still been outside. One was up in Baudett and the other was Grand Rapids. I’d have to imagine with the time and money put in they will do everything they can to keep it outside.

Make sure to have the cold gear with!

Friday: High of -3 F, low of -18 F
Saturday: High of -4 F, low of -15 F.

No snow in the forecast, and hopefully the wind isn't blowing.

Enjoy the festivities! Wish I could make it, but the kiddo has hockey stuff going on here that day as well.

If little wind we will be fine.
We have the fish houses set up in a horseshoe on the corner of the lake with an off the ground fire ring I the middle.

Let the games begin.
Go Huskies!
Go Jacks!
Go Beavers!
Go Wild!

Forecast low Friday now -19 and high Saturday -6 with 5 to 10 mph winds from north.

9:30am start has to be near -10 F or colder so any wind at all pushes this near -20 windchill which tells me this moves indoors.

Love to have this stay outdoors but MSHSL isn't going to risk safety.

They are doing everything they can to make it work.
Wind breaks in place - the stands. - the glass and boards, will minimize the wind.
Commercial heaters in the players box.
Insulated tents and outdoor fire pits with closed circuit TVs for the fans.
Current forecast has an upgraded high to a minus 2 and sunny.

Awesome! Make it work Bemidji!!
That sounds like perfect out side conditions compared to Grand Rapids HD event.

The ice is having problems as it is too cold. Last night for youth hockey games it was chipping.
Hmm..

I certainly hope the ice is not a problem and hope to be outside.
