Any update on other Sr moving on such as Howe, Mueller, Daninger, Welch, etc?

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Welsch was on Aberdeen and backed up Vernon for the NAHL’s Robertson Cup. Didn’t see any playoff time. Vernon is an age out so he might be given a chance to play there next season.InThePipes wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 12:29 pm Any update on other Sr moving on such as Howe, Mueller, Daninger, Welch, etc?
Howe - player U18 Blades last season. Mueller - May have hung up skates to pursue education. His brother played for the Blue Ox - the tier 3 JA group out of Coon Rapids owned by Bruce Boudreau. AFAIK - MN Blue Ox had interest in both Howe and Mueller as Bruce’s kid Brady was aging out. Unsure about Daninger. Travis Allen (2000) saw some time late in the NAHL season as he was covering an injury.
The path of the above mentioned is hard to guess or gauge. Do I see a late bloomer or commit such as Lake State commit Seth Eisele (98) or Army West Point’s Justin Evenson who both played their senior years in MN HS hockey? Hard to say.

I am 100% sure I know which 02 you are talking about.612hockeytown wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 12:27 pm
02 same as 01s. Showed a lot of promise at 15/16s. It’s really early for them, but not impressed by the depth so far. The good lads are pretty small framed, but hope to see them develop over the next 2-3 years. One of the best ones from the north (who shall remain nameless) chirped some pretty bad things at a few players I know and apparently his character was full of issues at a junior camp. No commits yet.

Word travels fast in the hockey community. Probably why he didn’t makes natty’s this year.BeauKnowsHockey wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 2:05 pmI am 100% sure I know which 02 you are talking about.612hockeytown wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 12:27 pm

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
The hardest things for MN goalies at this point (after they graduate) - is they have 2 full years until they age out. You better nail one of those tryouts or you’ll end up playing a lower tier of junior and then have 1 year left etc etc. The window closes quickly.

Yeah. People are aware of his character. We will see how he reacts after this recent serving of humble pie....612hockeytown wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 2:27 pmWord travels fast in the hockey community. Now you have me thinking. What 02? The ones I know of from the north 1/2 of the state don't really fit this description.

I'm guessing nobody is going to directly identify, but there are enough clues above that should make it obvious.northhockeyfan wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 9:09 pm Now you have me thinking. What 02? The ones I know of from the north 1/2 of the state don't really fit this description.

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
He didn’t play much for the Magicians. He took a lot of ill advised penalties and would get benched every time after. Lot of O-zone garbage. Never saw his true potential at junior level because of that. If he can turn a new leaf ... I’m sure he will do well.between_the_pipes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 8:53 pmNot related to the goalie forum but Henkemeyer-Howe absolutely lighting up the lamp at SF camp.between_the_pipes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 6:13 pmAny word on if he was selected for roster spot?

Unfortunately, Glockner was not selected for the "final" ASG at the camp

Who will fill Frizingers 'skates' at Andover?
Will need at least a Top 10 to make it to the X, IMO.

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Wes Swenson will play for Andover., my guess

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Will Larson should get a good look for them as well. I believe he came back to Andover after a great freshman year with TG

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
Larson was actually a transfer to Andover. I’m not sure if there was a family move or if it was open enrollment, but he played for Cambridge-Isanti through 8th grade.BeauKnowsHockey wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 11:27 amWill Larson should get a good look for them as well. Re: Top 5 Goaltenders
I don’t have any knowledge about that, sorry. I just know a few TG parents, so I am familiar with the situation surrounding their revolving door of goalies over the past few years.InThePipes wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 12:23 pmWhat is his injury status?Stang5280 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 12:18 pmLarson was actually a transfer to Andover.
