Pre-season scrimmage schedules

Post by j4241 »

Blake is hosting NWC, Stillwater and Sartell for a round robin on Saturday, November 2. The mini-games start at 9, with an interesting match-up between Blake and NWC at 1:20.

Anyone have other pre-season scrimmage info?

I believe Wayzata is hosting Benilde, Breck, Edina, Farmington and Holy Family (both varsity and JV) on Saturday the 2nd at PIC.

Not sure the times or match-ups yet.

I haven't seen actual game schedule for all teams but Eden Prairie is hosting scrimmage fest tomorrow morning from roughly 8:00am-12:00pm at Eden Prairie CC. Earlier games are JV, later games are Varsity or mix of V/JV.

Teams involved:
Eden Prairie
Chaska/Chan
Shakopee
St Paul United

These are cobbled together, but I believe scores today at Blake were:

NWC - Stillwater
2 - 1

Blake - Stillwater
3-2

Nwc - Sartell
1-2

Stillwater - Sartell
4-6

Blake - nwc
4 - 3 (goal 4 for blake was awarded, but not in the net - refs goofed - should have been 3-3)

Blake - Sartell
5 - 3

Games were not necessarily representative of play to expect during the season. Stillwater brought a 4th line that played game 1 only. Not sure on other teams usage and lines. Blake appeared... to make some odd line decisions? They have a lot of very talented players, but the team did not look like a top team as configured.

Scores from other sessions?

Wasn't there, but was told that they didn't post scores at the scrimmages in Plymouth. From the sounds of it, pretty good hockey by Wayzata, Holy Family, Edina and Breck.

They were posting scores but it was hit n miss.

Edina beat BSM 5-0
Edina beat Farmington
Wayzata beat Farmington 3-0
Farmington beat BSM 2-1
BSM & Breck tied 2-2.

In talking to some other team's parents, sounds like most teams had their final rosters on the ice yesterday. BSM brought 19 skaters and played quite a few forwards at D throughout the entire day.

In the games i watched, #4 from Breck was the best player I saw. Not sure if that was Mobley or not.

Blake and South St. Paul scrimmaged last night. 2-1 Blake in 5v5, and 2-0 Blake in 20 minutes of back and forth power play work.

Any other scrimmage updates? (I saw in another thread Forest Lake and Brainerd tied 2-2 on Saturday)
