13,13. So if you make 17 out of 20 championship games, win the next four championships. Will that be adequate to make the move? If you won the c-chip 10 out of 13 years would you then be ok with moving up?
Haven’t answered this question yet. Defense or Pesky.....

Also had a thought. Do you think a coach who takes over a hockey program like Hermantown really has any say in anything todo with the program.
I had a conspiracy theory
Do you think everyone involved with Hermantown hockey really wants to stay in class A? They all put Andrews as coach and told him to hold the flag for staying in class A and all the parents get to look the victim and Andrews gets to take all the heat! The program thrives and enjoys their success and Andrews gets to stand at the firing line. Thoughts on that one,

As an outsider and looking at the mshsl rules and system, no. As a person who wants more northern teams in the TC in March, yes. As a person looking at whether a team could do it and have success, yes.
I count 16 state tournament appearances. 9 championship game appearances. 3 championships. Starting in 1994. Before that looks pretty slim. FYI

I think it's kinda cool for an alumnus to come back and coach. Wish my alma matter did that

Yes it’s great you sit and collect trophies and Andrews takes the fire about A hockey. No Hermantown people wants to move up and sits comfortably collecting their trophy.

CEC to the rescue. We will whoop your butts in 7A but get our butts whooped by Hermantown every year.

Let’s compare Hermantown to state. How many teams in class A have made eight straight c-chips! Make 10 out of 13 c-chip games.
Denfeld has a good base for a competitive team. No team will ever go on a roll of 8 straight c-chip games!

With all kidding aside, Hermantown Hockey is just a machine. We just compete for second place. With CEC, my goals every year a 2 fold. Split with Duluth East and get a home playoff game. And we accomplished those two this year. Now playing in 7A, my goals will be 1) split with Hermantown and get a home playoff game.

Maybe in West Duluth and Hibbing, but the not in the rest of the state.
Tell that to one of the largest crowd that ever attending the Class A semi finals.
By the way Hunter, you are hardly the definition of a Class A school.

When the game is a battle of two teams from metro areas, then yes, a big crowd is to be expected.

With the Hermantown-Mahtomedi matchup, now 35 of the last 42 participants in the Class A title game are from metro areas. The founders of Class A are rolling in their graves.

Yep. And that is why there is talk of A champ playing AA champ on Monday night.
