Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings
Hiring coaches who are not teachers leads to chaos. Teachers do not automatically make the best coaches but hiring an insurance salesman isn’t a long term solution in my opinion.
Add to that a school board will not stand behind the AD they hired and you have the situation we have in too many schools.

Rock Ridge (Virginia/Eveleth) position is open.
Virginia coaching contract was not renewed a few weeks ago and the school board accepted the Eveleth coach resignation at last nights meeting.

I had to check Karl's and YHH"s twitter feed to see who broke Randolph stepping down at Duluth East first

1. What chased Mike out? There is more to just resigning.
2. Who applies to this job?

Tony probably could've, but he's a good journalist who needs to do his due diligence. I have no such scruples (at least when it comes to Duluth East inside info).east hockey wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 7:48 pmWhen it comes to the Hounds, nobody scoops Karl. Nobody.

Lots to process here, and I'm not going to say too much...yet, anyway.

They're in good shape for a while. Plenty of good players means they are poised to have their best teams ever.ThatMNHockeyGuy62 wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 1:38 pmIf discussing Southwest of 494, hearing Chanhassen coach Willis has resigned. Crazy if true in one year Chaska, Chan, HF all new coaches.
Be kind. Rewind.
Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings
With Randolph's resignation - we are now close to 20% for coaching turnover from last season. A few left for another job - but an alarming high number nonetheless. A lot of coaches tired of the battle and "just not worth it anymore." This is going down a bad path.

Any word on the investigation that was/is going on? OR at least an investigation was mentioned at some point with Randolphkarl(east) wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 11:11 pmTony probably could've, but he's a good journalist who needs to do his due diligence. a few upset mommies and daddies.
Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings
That does seem to be the annoying trend. It is getting to be a thankless job being a coach. You have 100 kids show up for varsity tryouts and you only get to give 20 something a shot. Its a sad state of affairs...
Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings
Quite insulting to frame it in this manner.
Look on this board, there might be more to it.
