Sauk Rapids at LF game was no gimme for the Flyers. Flyers went up 3-0 through 2 periods, but SR pulled within 3-2 early in the third. SR was getting plenty of zone time, just not able to score. LF got a screened ricochet goal to go up 4-2 and then two EN goals including one at the buzzer. SR was a scrappy team that gave LF trouble at times. They have some kids that can play.

East fans/parents going nuts…. Some suspect calls but when you’ve built that reputation whaddya expect?

The boarding major and open ice knee major both looked legit to me. So was the slashing penalty that gave Rapids a 2 man advantage. East came hot out of the gate, probably their only chance to try to get up a couple and get Rapids to clench their sticks. It was exciting but I wasn't concerned. Rapids was rolling the 2nd and 3rd. I have never liked East, obviously, but they've always been a respected unit, not so much right now though. Glad their cheap shots didn't turn into anything more. This new coach does not have a handle on this team and appears in over his head.

Two players got into it as play went to the opposite end with about 4 1/2 minutes to go. Both were given game misconducts for fighting.

Holy crap! One of the worst slaughters I've ever seen! Didn't Maple Grove beat someone 18-0 a couple of years ago?

From what I could make out on the Facebook Live stream, the Blades only had 10 skaters and two goalies.

Years past, Section 6 had 10 teams, so B/W always was in a play in game. This year with only 8 teams, they drew the number 1 seed.....

Yikes, should’ve played both goalies and skated 3.
