best players from northern minnesota

One of the best players from Northern Minnesota is Whitney Olson from Proctor/Hermantown/Marshall. She is a clear stand-out in every game and every opponent. She's got 16 goals and 12 assists so far. She's just a great all-around forward.

I certainly don't know as much as I should, or would like know to about players from northern Minnesota but I believe Bemidji's Ms. Erickson (Sarah) surely belongs on this list...a list of best in the entire state as well.

Can't possibly omit Warroad's Holly Roberts from the discussion. Speed and scoring.
Defense; CEC's Michelle Maunu.

and natalie newton missed 2-4 weeks with a broken leg. I am not sure exactly how many games she missed...but a solid defenseman may not get many points...the top 5 there are all forwards...GRG for example has 2-4 good d, but they play d, they dont have much offensive power at the blue line.

Very true, good point. Newton missed 3 games due to a broken foot. Odd to see these Fall girls making an impact on the scoring in the Northland, don't hear much from their team.

Sarah Erickson has 53 points and I believe Courtney Josefson, also of Bemidji, has 30+ points.

I think the Falls team is having the best year in their history. Still a player or two shy of competing with the top in their section, is my guess.

Yes. I'm from the area.

Looks like the Falls team lacks depth from my perspective. They've got Bolstad and Ciminski up there but their next highest has 15 points.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... usiness at: 1/22/06 6:57 pm

Courtney Josefson is an awsome player, slightly hidden behind Erickson but is the real deal some one will get a steal when they take her.

I'd rather not. Don't want to have anybody think I've got a biased opinion.

Am I that apparent? I suppose it isn't too tough to figure out with the correct knowledge. Are you a parent?
