Violence in Sports

Post by koren808 »

Anyone notice how much worse violence in sports has gotten in the past year or so? There is a bench clearing brawl almost every 2-3 weeks and fans fighting with players in baseball. There was the pregame fight in the Steelers vs. Browns game. The brawl between South Carolina and Clemson in NCAA Football. The Pacers-Pistons brawl. Then this is the worst:
www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_ ... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

Somebody needs to get anger management help.

Fighting in Pro Hockey won't help either.
Hockey is the ONLY sports that allow fighting in team sports.
Not a good example for youth.

bertuzzi is facing a civil lawsuit now. he's done financially. his personal insurance policies...whatever he has, excludes intentional acts (per an article I read about his situation).

This doesn't have anything to do with sports, but its still amazing on how some people overreact to small things:

www.thelouisvillechannel.com/news/42152 ... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

The way some people overreact and immediately turn to violence is really a shame and it is getting ugly. You see it everyday on the roads and in sports it has become commonplace. Something needs to be changed.

I heard the NBA is making changes in the sale of alcohol during games to keep fans from getting too drunk to prevent fans from throwing things on the court and, more importantly, drunk drivng after the game. Does anyone have any information on this?

I saw something about that too Koren. I think it is a great idea. I personally feel they should ban it at games altogether, although they went do that b/c it makes so much money. It seems that alcohol has been involved in most of these fan/player incidents.
