I feel so privileged. Although the production company botched my true look completely, at least they picked the best actor out of the bunch to portray me! For such a cruel website (where those pics come from), it sure is entertaining. Scheids (A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

I think Tom Cruise could be a lot more appropriate to cover peteys character than Sean ( treason ) Penn as like I said before, petey is the salt of the earth regarding this country's future. As much as some people would love to say that the might of Cent. is going to roll over all in AA its just going to happen, Of course I am hopeing they make it to the finals against Moorhead so that after the game I can come on here and listen to all the cring about how they got screwed some how. As for Warroad it was asked on another thread why they were ranked #1 instead of #4. Are people nuts?? A team that hasn't lost a game against a class A team in two years and you think they should be not #1??? Please pull the head out of your butts and start to think clearly again. Whats that i hear???? Its the sound of WARRIORS and SPUDS winning the state titles!

Warroad11- I came across a good recipe for "eating crow" that will come in handy for you in a couple of weeks. Stuff the crow with cow manure and bake at 350 degrees for 75 minutes, throw out the crow and enjoy!

No acknowledgement whatsoever from this "Against the Grain" crowd that one of their favorite sons got drilled over the weekend by a stellar team from Circle Pines. I'll say it again, even though it seems to go against their grain, it is highly unlikely that either Section 8 A or AA is the most "dominating" section top to bottom. The results last night speak well to that. Nobody questions that the the leaders of both classes of Section 8 are formidable, but how 'bout the rest? Angus- They know better than to respond to your questions regarding the strength of the weak Northwest. Two teams in AA and A combined is a free pass to the big show and the drive in theater.

Here's the problem with being a longtime Moorhead fan. No matter how good, no matter how great the players, Moorhead has the Vikings syndrome. They can not perform under pressure. They can bring home second, they can bring home third, but have never brought home first. There have been many years ('94, '95, '03) when we thought for sure this would be the time our boys would bring home the trophy, but, they didn't. I have been a Spuds fan my whole life, always will be, but I won't believe it til I see it. So, if Moorhead takes it home at the Excel come March 13th, I'll be there just as happy as any one person can possibly be, and if not, no big let down.

We have to make sure Mr. Carey is in the right union and that he isn't 'performing any extra duties' or we might end up on one of dem hollywood blacklists before we cut the trailer...in the trailer...after the pipes thaw. Otherwise I would allow that pinko commie Penn represent my likeness but ONLY if it is from Spicoli days, or the Madonna fiasco. I agree that Sean "Traitor" Penn should have nothing to do with this project. I have liked a few of his movies, but as a person, he's worthless. At least you didn't include Michael Moore as a special consultant or anything. I think its quite amusing how Penn sits there and says how bad America is, how it ruins youth, and leads the people in the wrong direction. Yet, whenever you see him doing an interview, or just see him on TV, there he is, smoking another cigarette. Corporate America might not always send the right message, but you, Mr. Penn, are a hippocritic moron. He doesn't want the evil USA rid the world of a horrible dictator, but its perfectly fine to have children watch you smoke a cancer stick every time you make a public appearance. Ok, I'm ranting. I guess I learned from one of my favorite comedians, Dennis Miller. Bad football announcer, but a hell of a genius, and a funny one at that. It takes a little thinking to get his humor, which is why I'm sure it goes against the grain of a great many members of this fine forum! Scheids (A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Dennis Miller was too good for the 'speed listeners' much like some more prolific posters confuse the 'speed readers.' But at times, Miller was so fast that even Mr "do you believe in M....." and "I think we are having an earthq...." laughed a little late at times.

Hey ZERO, Politics and religion and the opinions that are there about are one thing, but I don't see why it is necessary to bring down the discussion like you did in your 93rd posted comment on this topic by adding you know who's name in comparison to the fine job that many referees do for the game of hockey and even you, yourself, noted that you "pushed it a bit" which is an understatement when you consider the younger fans and the parents of the board who might have kids occassionally viewing this forum. If you are trying to kill this thread, that is one way to go about it, and I for one wouldn't want to see that happen. ..........I know we're havin' fun but try to be a little more 'classy' about it will ya? I don't want to have to tell my kids who 'you know who' is when they ask me what position does he play. I find it ironic that swearing and bad mouthing referees and opponents coaches, players, and fans is okay with you but when Sean Penn, and Dennis Miller get brought up, your feelings get hurt. I'm not gonna argue these facts with you here as this is a hockey board. But you are NOT the only one with a keyboard and are NOT the only one with an opinion. So people disagreeing and possibly offending you will happen. When your buddy Blues publishes peoples names, and offends people on other posts you are quick to back him up. We struggle to find the answers, even though we are not sure of the questions. We try to predict what will occurr even though we know it is hard to make predictions, especially about the future. We seek the aid of the beloved computer but it changes its mind on a daily basis and when you try to talk to it, its half in the bag from being at Franks with slappy and VS. But yet we are sure that section 8 will prevail in March in St Paul for the ultimate prize. This is the path of the faithful. Success is not final, failure is not fatal.....it is the courage to continue that counts. So, who are you guys pickin?

Oh my slapshooter, what an interesting selection and thanks so much for getting us started. Say, now I know that there are other boys and girls out there who could join in and pick another section but before we do that lets make fun of the slapshooter's selections especially if one of the teams loses a game, shall we. I know some of you may want to venture out and pick section 3 just because the heavy favorite in AA resides there together with a traditional war horse who is moving "down" in class in A. But that would just double the size of the thread and the participants so we wont do that. Any discussion of section 5 would do the same, especially since they did it in 2002. Instead, lets sing a song that I know you'll all like and keep in your head all day until you scream: Hey, Keep the ball rollin, keep the ball rollin, girl the name of the game is love.....
