I really didn't "scout" anything during the game.
We only play them once this year - so there was no need to do so.
They do move the puck well and are solid on taking the body.

Roseau PeeWee A's 3, Grand Forks Wheat Kings 1. Wheat kings just came off a Tournament win in Bemidji and only lost 1 game all year.Roseau wins the hibbing tournament and still has not been beat in regulation playthis year. The wheat kings are North Dakota's best team...

I'm pretty sure it must've been the Grand Forks Sugar Kings that Roseau beat. The Sugar Kings won the Paul Bunyan International Tourny in Bemidji and are a very good team.

SLP Coach, How come the TC district standings are two to three weeks after the facts when all other district are pretty current?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... g7stars at: 1/23/06 3:43 pm

Just from watching some of the TC district games looks like Highland will win the league with alot of support from questionable non calls of hold ,hook and picks which they seem to get away with at every game they play even out of there district. I watched them play SLP/SW the game you mentioned earlier and it was there in plain site .Go figure they have the most HEP points.
Good luck!!!!

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... g7stars at: 1/23/06 4:25 pm

in that SW-Highland game, Highland capitolized on 2 of SW's mistakes. One where SW screened their own goalie and another where SW just kept throwing the puck to their D-men trying to clear. SW had more scoring chances but the combo of Highland's goalie coming up HUGE in a couple of instances as well as SW not finishing on their scoring chances was the difference in the game. Although I did notice a LITTLE stick work, the officiating had NOTHING to do with the out come of this game. I thought the officials did a pretty decent job in this one.

From what I can see in the standings you posted they don't need to pick on your team anymore they got Highland where they want them, After all they are Saint Paul's team.

Grand Rapids 5 - Bemidji 2
Excellant game only soured by poor officiating, whcih nomrally does not occur in Grand Rapids. Both teams came to play but the game was sadly abrupted by poor game calling by the lead referee. I like elliots club, if healthy they should make a run in District and Regions...same goes for GR.
