I woul like to say that the best game last night was the JOhnson/Eagan. Johnson should have won this one missing numerous chances fom the 5 minute mark all they way until a bad bounch with 35 seconds sealed their fate. I agree with Eagan losing today because I think Johnson took alot out of them.
Johnson maybe eliminated tody but this is the first time in a few years that I have found a team that comes from the inter-city that plays hard and should have impressed alot of people last night.
GO Govies!!! you have not heard that for quite some time.

Pimp Daddy is back!!!!

How could Blaine and Edina tie? Wouldn't there be overtime until there was a winner?

CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY - Better than Super Bowl Sunday!!

First of all it was great to see alot of old friends in Brooklyn Park yesterday. I know that Ryno had a blast seeing many of his former teammates and friends that hockey has provided him. It continually amazes me how tight of a "family" we have all become and our boys are only 12 and 13 years old. Hopefully the coming years will only make our friendships stronger!

Here we go! To the picks -

Lakeville South - 2
Edina - 4

* This pick is based on the boys in green "MOVING THE PUCK". If they dont move the puck like they finally did in the 2nd period yesterday they will lose to a VERY nice squad from Lakeville. I am sure the "BRAINTRUST" of the Hornets will have the boys move the puck - MOVE THE PUCK! Also I think that the "DUKE" factor might come into play on Championship Sunday for the boys from Edina. It was good to hear that our friend Duke is feeling a little better and I hear that he actually got on some skates! Good Luck to both squads as Ryno and I have friends that we are pulling for on both of these two teams.

Wayzata - 3
Eden Prairie - 2 (2OT)

I was very impressed with the size of some of the boys (TANNER!) on the Wayzata squad. If that "BIG" line (Jensen and Tabery) can get some shots on net I think we may see EP actually lose to a Minnesota team for the first time this season. Not a slam on the squad from EP - they are a great team. Just from seeing both teams yesterday I believe that the boys from Wayzata have the "HORSES" to pull this one out in 2 OT's.

Yes Andrew I realize you were not in goal yesterday. Not to worry I have you going on to beat Stillwater for M3 spot in Duluth!

Other side of the brackets -

Chaska - 3
Stillwater - 5

The boys from the east side in a great one. It will actually be a very close, back and forth game. Only reason I have 2 goal difference is the KREUTZFELDT boy from Stillwater will put in an "EMPTY NETTER" in the last few seconds of the game.

Blaine - 6
Roseville - 1

NOT CLOSE! Mike will have the boys burning inside. Actually thought that the boys from the "Northside" had the Edina game going their way until they got caught with the 3rd line and only 4 skaters on the ice when Edina got their 1st goal yesterday, and that really changed the "MO".

Mike's boy, Jonny, in a big game here, Jonny nabs a HAT TRICK for the Blaine squad!

Go BIG Nick!

Again a team that Ryno and I are really pulling for, lots of good friends. Nice to see Jonny's #1 fan in the stands again - that being Grandma!

M3 and M4 Games:

Lakeville South - 1
Blaine - 2 (3 OT)

Ok - TOUGH PICK! But I like Blaine in the "BARN-BURNER-GAME" of the entire weekend in Brooklyn Park.

Bjugstad will score from a face off from Johnny to end Lakeville's season.

Stillwater - 1
Eden Prairie - 6

Sorry Kreutzie - but it is now BASEBALL season for you! Stillwater will just be the team NO ONE wants to be, the team that plays EP after their 1st Minnesota loss of the year.

EP will come out "A Blazing" this one might be over in the 1st Period.

Sorry to our friends from Stillwater. I wish you weren't the team to have to face EP.

So in the end -DULUTH BOUND TEAMS

M1 - EDINA
M2 - WAYZATA
M3 - EDEN PRAIRIE
M4 - BLAINE

Good luck to all our friends at STATE in Duluth.

To all the teams that ended their season in Brooklyn Park, CONGRATS on making it to Regions. You should not have your head down, you all had a sucessful season to have made it that far.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... keyDad9 at: 3/5/06 10:00 am
