Morris/Benson at Wadena-Deer Creek is now postponed. Morris/Benson's bus had to turn around due to road conditions.

#2 seed Fergus Falls 9 #7 seed Prairie Centre 1
#3 seed Northern Lakes 8 #6 seed Willmar 1
Section 6A- #1 seed Alexandria routed #8 seed Breckenridge/Wahpeton 14-0 as Senior Joe Lamski led the way with a game high 5 point night. The Cardinals will move on to the 6A Semifinals and will take on #4 seed Wadena Deer Creek. As the other 6A Quarterfinal in the top bracket was far more dramatic as the Wolverines and #5 seed Morris Benson played a back and forth affair that eventually went to Double OT. It was the Wolverines who got revenge for last year's playoff upset and scored the game winner. #2 seed Fergus Falls steamrolled over #7 seed Prairie Centre in a 9-1 rout. Otters Junior Kellen Stenstrom led the way with a huge 6 point night (3 goals & 3 assists) and Fergus Falls advances to the 6A Semifinals where they play #3 seed Northern Lakes who was tied 0-0 after 1 period against #6 seed Willmar but the Lighting broke open the game with a big second and third period scoring eight goals to turn the game into a rout. The Lightnings Junior Logan Verville and Sophomore Jayden Marthaler each had two goals to lead the way. Northern Lakes will not advance to take on the Otters in the 6A Semifinals on Tuesday Night.

I am not sure if there is any video streaming of the Alexandria-Wadena-Deer Creek game. I know at times throughout the year, the Alexandria Area Boys High School Hockey Facebook page would live stream games.
I would guess Voice of Alexandria would have an audio stream. Click on KXRA on the Listen Live area in the upper right hand corner.

Alexandria moves onto the Section final with a 7-2 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek. Alexandria is above .500 for the first time this year.

Alexandria Seniors Joe Lamski & Nick Peterson each had two goals and the Cardinals scored multiple goals in all three periods to take care of the Wolverines. Alexandria now is above.500 for the first time this year and they head to the Section 6A Championship game..

Things looked bleak for the Otters but their 1st line of Juniors Shane Zierden, Kellen Stenstrom and Sophomore Jack Welde took over the game and helped Fergus score three unanswered third period goals. The Otters will now move on to their third consecutive 6A Section Final on Thursday Night.
