The stud recruit in the WCHA next year is Wisconsin's Kyle Turris. He is a Top-10 draft pick and an elite offensive talent, it remains to be seen how he will be utilized in Wisconsin's defensive-minded system.

Other top recruits will be:

Mike Hoeffel-Minnesota
Brett Hextall-North Dakota
Steve Schultz-Colorado College
Tyler Johnson-Colorado College
Aaron Marvin-St. Cloud State
Cade Fairchild-Minnesota
Alex Kangas-Minnesota
Ryan McDonagh-Wisconsin
Josh Turnbull-Wisconsin
Brendan Smith-Wisconsin
Garret Roe-St. Cloud State
Casey Pierro-Zabotel-Michigan Tech
Tyler Bozak-Denver

Well I didn't list him since it's unsure whether he will there or '08. He should be a very good player if he is a member of next year's freshman class though.

Kangas will be the most highly touted netminder. After that, Richard Bachman (CC recruit) should be a solid netminder. Brad Eidness (North Dakota recruit) will likely start as a backup to Grieco but has a chance to claim a starting job as a freshman. Marc Cheverie (Denver recruit) has the potential to be the best of the bunch and will likely carry the load for Denver after Mannino leaves. Former Jefferson goaltender Austin Lee (Mankato recruit) rounds out the class of goaltenders, but Lee will likely have to wait until his junior year for any time as he sits behind Zacharias and Tormey.

Breeze good info. There are some great freshmen and sophmore in the state and it will be interesting you ends up getting early commits.

Dont forget about Hickey coming to Wisconsin also.

Three big scorers coming into the Badgers defensive minded system could equal a lethal combination. All the Badgers need is a few guys that can put the puck in the back of the net.

I can't wait to see how well Hickey, Turnbull, and Turris fit into the system

I'm assuming that unless there are a few pro departures from Wisco, (Skille is a safe bet but after that I don't see anything) than Hickey will come in '08. He should fit in well to that system though.

Mike Hoeffel-Minnesota
Didn't he get hurt though, and will he be ready when the season starts?

He had surgery last month. It would appear as if he will play next season but whether he will be ready exactly for the beginning of the season is hard to know right now. Should be ready roughly around that time (last I heard anyway).
