Warroad

Should Warroad move up to 8AA instead of 8A, I know they would have a lot more respect if they did that.

I don't think they would have much more respect and they definately wouldn't get crushed. They wouldn't be dominate but they would be competitive.

I'd respect them more. I can't understand how Warroad can be happy with their 4 Class A championships while big brother down the road, Roseau, has 7 real State championships. I'd love to see Warroad play in Class AA and might even root for them. C'mon, Warroad, strap on a pair! :) :) :) :) :)

Warroad is a really small town, yes they have a good team every year but they dont have as many kids to choose from as compared to Roseau and Moorhead

Warroad's 10 through 12 enrollment was larger than Roseau's this year. Warroad also does not have a high school wrestling team, so in actuality, they have more kids to pick from than Roseau.

What??? As compared to Moorehead, you are correct. Compared to Roseau? Class sizes are pretty close year in and year out.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Roseau's willingness to compete up against the AA teams. Maybe Warroad will follow Roseau's lead someday but I am not holding my breath that their program will.

I also have a tremendous amount of respect for Roseau's program and their commitment to AA. Doesn't mean anyone else, including Warroad, should be required to do so just to earn irrelevant "respect".

Warroad is no different than any other class a program they all have the option to opt up,time will tell if new transfer rules will have an effect and enrollment numbers might catch up to them, because no matter the path these kids found there way to town, transfers have had huge role in the success of this high school program, they always seem to be able to fill the gaps their numbers cant produce.Oh lest i forget 8a was way down this year and TRF served it up on a silver platter.

come on....this is a town of like 2500 people.....i applaud roseau for the courage to remain in the top class like it always has been...but you cannot fault a town and school the size of warroad for remaining where their enrollment says they should be.....the moorhead highschool is bigger than the whole town of warroad....

Well thieves i have discovered more painfull facts this age group warroad/trf throughout youth levels not even close.trf absolutely dominated so i guess you either have to pat warroad on the back for closing the gap or a couple people in trf need to be asked how could you possibley mess that up so badly?

They are already respected by people all around the country. They don't need to move up to a higher class with their enrollment.

When you're as good as they are why not play with the big schools? They are a larger community than Roseau and have nearly the same or similar talent year to year. Time to buck up Warroad!

No, it's time for all of the haters to buck up. Horrible example too, would Warroad have won AA this year? No.

Yes, like in 2005. And they were respected then. The only teams that are disrespected for not moving up are private schools.
