Adam played his senior year in Ann Arbor. Sobtzak actually didn't even play his senior year in high school due to off ice issues. No idea where he is now.

Bill Joy was 1967. I would also add the following:

Rick Metzer 1965
Jimmy Lothrup 1962

The best was Jimmy Lothrup with Adam Hauser a close second.

Anyone remember the name of the Taconite Hornets goalie in the 60's?
He was great. He also was the first goalie that ever came out of the crease to play the puck.

hauser was on the high school team in 94, because he ws suppose to be a bantam on which would have been a great team.

my vote is for sobtzak. i'll never forget when they were playing duluth east at the memorial building and east scored the goal to go ahead 3-1 and the east fans started sieveing him and he took off his blocker and flipped them the bird.

By the way, you may want to include Jon Casey in your list because he "came" from Greenway.

Then you need to change your title, because he fits under it.

sobtzak was in my opinion. he was quick on his feet and solid as could be. he missed out his senior year because of grades and other issues. he went to texas after that and he played on a scrap team down their for a year. he didnt have the grades to go to college which he easily could have done.

Greenway Goaltenders

I would have to say Rick Royal, the most underated goaltender from Greenway, He always come up big when he had to. :)

How does this classify him as the best goalie? Never saw this kid play, but based on other threads it sounds like he had much more going on between the pipes than he did between his ears.

Tommy had a great sophomore year. Then, he lost it mentally.

Hauser

Hauser played 95/96 -- 97/98. His junior year came to a close at the Memorial in Hibbing, taking a 3-0 loss in the semifinal.
