How long before the Indians opt out of this conference of "has beens"?

For a long time the IRC was such a dominant conference; but boy has times changed!!

I remember playing in highschool for an independent team and kids were transfering/open enrolling to Mesabi East for cripes sake for the "exposure" because they were in the IRC. Now the Mesabi East doesn't even have it's own team.

I'd be very surprised if Virginia landed that high...likewise with Hibbing.

Hibbing

Post by northwoods oldtimer » Thu Sep 20, 2007 11:17 am

Bobalewee,
Explain why you think Hibbing will not fair well this season. I was very much looking forward to a DM - Hibbing 7a thriller at IRA Civic Center in February which would be a helluva game.

They took the orange and black to a tied event the last time the 2 clubs matched up and have more experience returning this year. Thus my vote for the 1 spot.

Elliot explain the 4 spot for GR?! What the heck. Any logic to that pick?

No logic, just pulling at boblee's leg.

See next post for prediction.
And GR will probably win the thing, but at this early stage I will go with my friend Brian's son to pull my Broncos back to first place.

That prediction would get to boblee. I thought maybe you had some inside information like all 7 goalies were open enrolling to other schools or something. :o

I am not saying Hibbing won't be good. They just have a lot of holes to fill. Similar to Grand Rapids.

He can score, but he can't stop the puck also. Teams will shadow him and make someone else beat them. Probably won't be a very good year, but who knows...

Losing a guy that stops about 40 shots a night is gonna be tough. I just don't think the Broncos will be deep enough to make a good run. I'm a Bronco fan, so I hope that I'm wrong.

Reading the thread title, there's no doubt an "Irond" head created it!

Hey, that's when I have my dark glasses on............It's probably more like 3/4 of the time cause my cane gets in the way.

Tripping over the other two mice is the biggest problem...
