Thanks. I actually had it there but deleted it by accident when I decided to remove the year they'd be hitting college (since some recruits are still up in the air on that).

GB, thanks for the info on your blog. I am guessing that many of those players, even on the "A" list are not complete players. However, the NHL sees possible upside potential.

I see the local list from you gopher, but does anyone know the website for the whole list? If so, thanks.

If a player has a (*) by his name it means that his height and weight were actually taken by a representative from CSS. Otherwise the figures are from what the player has put on a form or what his team has used in the past.

Which A player do you think is overrated?

Just speculating that some of the players listed as A, B and C may be less than complete players. The NHL must see some upside (potential).

being on the list is more about their potential, how the NHL CSS sees then in the next three to five years or more. so yes, some are not COMPLETE players but they all are very good, some with more potential than others. Usually, the A players are drafted however. I said usually.

How significant is this list? Is it used only by NHL CS or do college coaches use it to guide recruiting?

I would say ay this point that there are no overrated "A" players. These kids have been watched for a long time by alot of NHL scouts to recieve this tag. I would say that they all should be very proud to be listed, but the work has just begun for most of them. Congrats to all the kids on the list.

Anyone have any information on Anders Lee being reported as a bulldog recruit on this page? We haven't heard anything about it but the scouting report says it. I am assuming it is a typo.

Is Danny Mattson eligible this year or in 2009? I thought I read somewhere he isn't eligible until next year.

2009 - He's about two months too young for this coming draft.

NHL CSS hasn't had enough time to see the player in the past few months in question to place them (or not) in the A, B or C classification .

In most cases it is due to the player being injured and not having the chance to play as many games as others.

These are players that Central Scouting has an interest in keeping an eye on, but haven't seen enough (often because of injury) of them to place them in the "A","B" or "C" catagories.
