I was reading another post and forgot about Mr Norwich and was wondering if anyone knows whats up over at SPA?

Are they going to be another private thorn in the side of the neighborhood/hs hockey programs?

He has a history of bringing the level of the programs up pretty fast. With his taking over the Rockets summer teams has he gotten any "New" students???

This should be an interesting situation as they are one of the few private schools with their own rink.

Yes they have their own rink, although its pretty much a dump, and probably doesn't attract too many kids. The main attraction is Norwich himself, and his rockets program. Every year he gets kids to apply, but the problem is that it is one of the few private schools that does not admit kids just because they are athletes. A few years ago, some of the Hill kids tried to get in, but were rejected, and so have some other kids from edian, and ep.

The best player SPA has had in years was Spencer McMillan, and he was home grown talent, going to SPA since kindergarden.

But yes, there are a few "new" kids. Just not enough to make a difference yet.
