I am not going to make a prediction.

But if both teams come in healthy the result will give us an indication of which way each team is headed this year.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Rapids, very tight game at 4-3.

Okay, I will make a prediction....

I'll go with the big gun from Cloquet scorin' a hat trick and Cloquet 3 to 1.

I'm taking Cloquet by a couple.

I'm thinking this is going to be one of bobbers top 10 games

I must have a multiple personality because I don't remember starting this thread. (frequent_mn_flyer use your own username!)

I was going to start this thread actually, but later on, GR still has home scrimmages and the IRC Jamboree. Oh, what they hey.

I think both teams will be pretty evenly matched. I would anticipate a one goal margin, but who knows when a couple pucks go in off of shin pads or skates and the floodgates open one way or the other. Both teams will have new goalies and perhaps a more balanced approach than the last two seasons when both clubs relied a lot on their big guns (T.J. and P. W.).

I'm gonna say CEC squeaks out a tight one on the road, 4-2 with an e.n.

I am thinkin Cloquet by a couple but Rapids should be much better later in the season and give the Lumberjacks fits in the sections.

I don't know how Grand Rapids will be able to win any games this year.

Tyler Erikson has not made the team.

I think Grand Rapids will win this on the strength of Trevor Tabaka:

Grand Rapids 4
Cloquet 2

Baker will bounce back with a strong game...
Jacks - 4
Thunderchickens - 1

Great game, especially for a season opener. Final 2 -2. Palki nets both for GR including game tying goal at :01. Classic battle with both teams playing well. Tabaka with 34 saves and Baker of Cloquet with 31. Can't wait for the rematch.

The 2 makeup calls that gave cec the 2 man advantage and the go ahead goal, they didn't even put a cec guy in the box on there first penalty?
