I dont know my northern hockey very well but what does Little Falls have left from last years state team. I know they had the one line with unbelievable stats but thats about all. And Virginia all I know is Nico.

LF lost Festler, but returns both Hanowski boys, lost a hand full of seniors(5 or 6 I think)

The question will be if Berglund (shoulder) and Ben Hanowski (mono) will be playing. LF might have some issues w/o these two.

Both Nico and Festler are gone to the USHL. Other than Festler, Little Falls returns most of their production from last season, and their goalie.
The U invented swagger.

I believe that Ben Nelson will be playing with the hano boys but ben is out with mono so he will be out the first few games and bergland will be out with his shoulder injury so the first 2 weeks will be a test for the flyers

So is there much more depth to their lines? For the team, who will have to step up for them to go anywhere this year :?:

I wouldn't say they have more depth...last years team had the most depth i think and this year it will be the whole junior class for the flyers to step up and the key junior will be the goalie

Look for a surprise surge from Whitlow to take the starter's role.....

Berglund(shoulder) got cleared to play this weekend.

Ben Hanowski will not be playing at all this weekend(mono).

Also, one of their defensemen is serving a one game suspension for misconduct at last year's state tourney. Can't remember who though. Also, Logan Kalis may have mono too.

Virginia won 5-4. Game winner scored late in the 3rd. Little Falls scored 2 or 3 shorthanded goals - one on a 3 on 5. Shots were 30 to 26 in favor of Little Falls.

Laird was out for the Flyers from the last year at state. Anyone at the game have any thoughts on what they saw? How did the teams look?
