Greatest Celebration in the past 5 years?

Post by theedomcarsi10 »

This topic is where you post your favorite celebration during any hockey game you have ever seen live...

I would have to say... CP Rebels in the '06-'07 season @ Elk River El-ka- Holics in the regular season. This game was an absoulte war if you dont remember , cheap shots, penalties everywhere, and of the course the Brodhag fiasco.

Down 2-1 in the 3rd period Brett Meyers scored on a breakaway to tie it up .. of course elk river has that red start button... and Meyers skated all the way back across ice got down on one knee... as the champlin fans stayed quite.. took out the bow and arrow.. and SNIPED that button SENDING THE CP FANS INTO AN ABSOLUTE FIT!!!!

Although this was for null as the Rebs lost later 3-2 this was the greatest celey ever witnessed by me and a moment I will never forget

I doubt a regular season game applies. I also doubt that a CP game applies

Since when did Chad Johnson start playing high school hockey in MN? I'd hope this kid got a cheap shot or two for pulling stunt like that. Act like you've done it before kid, show a little class.
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too

There's always someone who starts a thread like this... you can tell it's hockey season.

Big Thurst's Celebration Thoughts:

1. The Elk River Applause Button is a classic.

2. I've always liked the blitzkreig, especially when all 5 guys know just to go straight back to center ice. It means business.

3. I've always hated when Osseo scores and they all jump into their own bench. After every goal.. you must really need something to get excited over.

4. I thought a funny one was when Brett Peterson's linemates of Elk River patted him down like cops against the glass after he scored.

5. I always laugh at the Captain Morgan.

But the one that takes the cake, hands down, that I will never forget.

Grand Rapids scores the game winning goal to go to their second straight state championship game, Reider Jensen skates past the Burnsville bench, on one knee, head nods and says something, and fists pumps. Just to go on and lose 5-1 the next night, oh yeah, and that after tanking 7-0 the year before. I love karma.

The Apple Valley kids two years ago when they knocked out Holy Angels in Section Semis. Didn't matter that they didn't go on to state. They took out the best team in Hockey that year in one of the most exciting games I've seen. Holy Angels parents were crying in the stands as well.

That is NASTY. Wish I could've seen that.

...

Thirsty good to see you back in the game. I agree the captain is always sick. Not so much a fan of the blitzkreig. Sadly the applause button is actually sick.

Are you guys forgetting the amazing celly Pat White does after every goal in his career? The good ol' fist pump. . . nothing better than when Grand Rapids players celebrate

If you are refering to me.....no I was not crying but I was upset as any fan would be. Even so, is crying so bad? I have seen many players, parents and fans cry at games......

CP vs. Brodhag

Post by Bench Major »

Brodhag finishing off the former club with the winner at Elk River, again karma, and leaving the CP faithful wondering...What if?. All 9 goals scored later in the season by the Elks at CP were memorable too, even though it was RUNNING TIME. He also sniped the winner on a break-away vs. Brainerd in 2 OT sending the Warriors into section 8. The go-ahead goal by Rogers at Champlin in 4AA play-offs, in the Royals 4-1 win.

The final of that game was Rogers:2 Champlin Park:1.... And people were saying how Rogers should have been a 5 or 6 seed. Funny.

Roseau Rams

Caravan of cars, trucks and of course the firetruck. Tradition continues, as people lined up their vehicles from Wannaska and escorted the team into Roseau.

Nothing like a small town celebration!

The bow and arrow cele by meyers was nasty but when brody scored the game winner he managed to pull off three in one. He went be the CP fans and put his hand by his ear...went by the CP bence and popped his jersey...and finally topped it off with the classic ladder celebration which he made famous at champlin..that one takes the cake

Make it a four in one, he finished with the applause button. We played that goal at school for like 3 weeks. Then we slowed it down and played it in slow-mo at the end of the game when CP was takin runs and Brody was just starring down the bench doin the "yeah we just kicked your ass" head nod. pretty B-A.

Im not so sure when in the 05-06 season this victory occured, but at one game vs. Osseo's huge rivals, Maple Grove at MG, When they won the game there team rushed towards their fan section. The five that were on the ice were standing on the boards/holding onto the glass celeing with their fans. The pic was on the cover of there team book in the 06-07 season.

Why thanks "5 hole". Im not retarded. If you read, I have never seen a team actually stand on the boards. Many have hung from the glass, or crowded the glass, but these kids were standing on the plastic cap thats ontop of the boards. Come on man

And to touch again on the ER CP game that started this topic, you cant knock meyers for not having class. I mean come on who has less class than the Elks? From their coach to their recruits, to their jv team. No class..

Lol no. Trust me CP does know its place in life, and does know about our embarassing record vs. the Elks the past 13 yrs. That doesnt mean that we think they are role models. Although, I must say ER does have some pretty original fans. I guess most of it come from Sarsland rediculous.
