PR has more depth than everyone is giving them. PR will come out on top but by how much is yet to be decided... I say:

Schiller is gone and in the USHL. DL doesn't have much left. Bergquist and a freshman by the name of Tanner Lane. Watch out for this kid in the next few years. He's gonna turn some heads. As for this game, Park should be too much for DL to handle. I don't see this one being all that close. DL's goaltending needs to improve for it to be a game. Senior Vavricka needs to step it up.

pr=5

dl=0

park has a pretty good goalie in the net i think they will produce a shutout. and as far as tanner lane goes pr will take the body and shut him down he makes too many rookie mistakes to even score against them

Park Rapids-4
Detroit Lakes-1

This one could have Mid State conference title implications, I'm sure it will be watched closely.................. :lol: ............
Now seriously it is kind of cool that we can even consider Park Rapids a contender isn't it??????????

PR-5
DL-3

Lehrke had 2 goals, and was making the DL defense look like squirts.

he sure did and he could have easily had 4 or 5 more goals but he only came away with 2 goals and 2 assists.

pr dominated, shots were somethen like 65- 18 in favor of pr

the DL goaltender stood on his head and played great

tanner lane for dl looked pretty good, especially for a freshman

i do expect pr to beat dl by 5 or 6 goals when they meat again in feb

Yea DL had a few good players ...tanner lane...bergquist (sp)...and # 8?....but PR dominated that whole game and DL goalie played a heck of a game...as said up top..Lehrke made DL look bad...which is not suprising.. :wink:

Lehrke 2 goals, 2 asists
Knapp 2 goals, ? assists
Winkler 1 goal, ? assists

PR 5, DL 3

but DL's coach did get ejected....it got PR fans all wound up

5 - 3 a blowout? :P I know what the shots were...a whole lot to very, very little. That goaltending performance has to be a bit concerning for the PR faithful. :-k So what's the lowdown on the DL coach getting tossed?

Pr's goaltending was questionable, but on the other hand he did make one of the best saves in a high school game ever, late in the game.

He made a save and the rebound kicked it the other way right to berquist, with a wide open net berquist shot it from off the weak side post but the PR tender dove over and and made an unreal glove save.

Yea blind squirrels do find nuts....I usually use that phrase for someone who isnt skilled and does something great...Mr. Smith is a good goalie...Im not sure he had a good night and HOPE he steps it up this friday cause he will need to. The save he made WAS amazing...it suprised just about everyone in the rink...they didnt even realize what happened...the score sure didnt show what the game looked like...ONE SIDED....not a good game for Mr. Smith

Ok...I'll try to lay this out so you understand. On more than one occasion you have said in other threads that Park Rapids beat EGF in the Section Tournament last year. Park Rapids in fact, defeated Crookston in the Section Tourney. Crookston is @ 25 miles from EGF. You also have been thinking that I've been giving you grief about the tie with EGF last year but it is actually about getting the team Park Rapids played in the Section Tournament mixed up. Hence, the skewed reality digs. Now do you get it...or should I put it in coloring book form? :wink:
