As I was walking toward my spot in line at the Minnetonka Best Buy at midnight last night to get my copy of Grand Theft Auto IV, I started thinking that I'm probably a little too old to be doing this - I'm in my 30's and I'm out buying a video game in the middle of the night?!

Then I saw the geriatric crowd in line ahead of me.

More than a few balding, overweight, 40-somethings in line, talking about the good old days of GTA III, and how many people were in line at midnight for the releases of Halo 2 and Guitar Hero III, and comparing the differences in the crowds at each. Suddenly, I wasn't quite as lame, because this was the first midnight release I've been to since I was about 16 when I got my copy of Metallica's black album.

Oh... the game is amazing, by the way. You youngsters better stay away from it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Wii, so I will miss out on Major League Eating: The Game.

GTA IV is easily one of the best games I have ever played. It is flawless besides the radio (I'm just not a fan, I'm sure some are). I haven't even played the best part yet either: Multiplayer

Free play is the best option... The key is to get the helicopter and land on a roof... you can sit and snipe people all day.

It's good to see that an old Grandpa like yourself can still find time to be a kid again... :D

I do agree with your GTA IV assessment also.

With Madden coming out soon, here is kind of an entertaining article to read through... The 10 Worst QB's in Madden History.

A former Minnesotan is at #2 which is pretty exciting, but the fact that they have (almost 300lb.) Jared Lorenzen at #5 is a disgrace, simply because he has some of the best nicknames in football history... "He Ate Me", "The Round Mound of Touchdown", "The Abominable Throwman", "Hefty Lefty", and my favorite, "The Pillsbury Throwboy".

The nicknames alone should keep him off of any "Worst Of" lists.

Anybody have a PS3 and NHL 09?

I've been messing around with the game for a few days, but I haven't had a chance to get into the "EA Sports Hockey League". From what I've seen and heard, it looks like it would be a lot of fun, but I have no team. If anybody has the game on PS3, and wants to try and piece together a team, let me know.

I can be the designated cherry picker... and fire wristshots wide of the net. That seems to be my big offensive maneuver so far.

That would be to you, sir. If you want to play online, 360 is the only way to go. I get my 1080p output just like you so idk what else you could be talking about.
