Too bad the celebration isnt original. Ryan Walters did it to the cadets at the section champioship last year 2008 against South Saint Paul. It was on all three highschool sports shows that night. HANO must have saw it and was mocking it to the cadets in the state tourney. Shortly later Walters was able to come back and salute the cadets properly as they teach at the academy. I think LF lost that game to.

If you don't get chills watching that, you probably don't "get" hockey.
That is the kind of thing we are asking for Channel 45 to "get".
Put some more of this stuff together for your coverage of the greatest school-boy tourney in the nation.
Act like you want the coverage to match the level of play. Take some pride.
Hano's salute fit in nicely in the video, right or wrong. Essay with the peroxided hair urging on "17 men", Pauly with the pre-game speech, the great crowd reactions. All good stuff.

Absolutley!! I showed it to my wife and she even said it gave her chills, and she has never been to the Tournament in person. Only watched on TV! I saved it on my favorites! I'll show it to her again next year. Maybe It will get her to come along with me for at least one session!

Wow, as someone with two family members in the military who went through optional JROTC at Cretin(as I did), I am very angered by this comment. Just because you are jealous of or dont like STA, dont throw blanket statements out about things. I have no idea how its a "fashion" and many people take it seriously and participate so they can enter the real military at a higher rank.

This is so dumb. Hano's salute is stupid and insulting for the simple fact that he is mocking people.

You're right, hard to tell when people are joking. Get the thread back on track.

I love the symbolism of the Johnson jerseys. It would be a big come back if they could ever make it to state again. Johnson and Roseau have the same school songs. When they used to play each other, the same song got played whenever either team scored.
