Philosophy
This camp will have a strong focus on skills. Our goal is to improve basic skills such as Skating, Shooting and Passing. Although there is not a strong focus on team systems such as fore-checking, neutral zone coverage, special teams and cycling, they will be introduced so that the general concept will be understood. Also, positioning and body checking will be covered for appropriate levels.

PROGRAM BENEFITS
-Improved Skating Efficiency
-Faster Acceleration
-Enhanced Agility and Quickness
-Higher Top End Speed
-Power, Explosiveness, and Increased Foot Speed
-Higher Levels of Anaerobic Fitness
Eligibility
Mites through HS Prep athletes are welcome. Only athletes who have a strong desire to improve their skill level and hockey knowledge are sought. This camp is for only the highly motivated. Any athlete detracting from his/her fellow athletesí ability to learn, displaying a negative attitude or risking injury to another will be asked to leave the ice. The athlete must then go in front of the instructors to appeal why he/she should be permitted to return to the program. There will be no refunds if asked to leave the program. We use a zero tolerance mentality and NO special exceptions will be made.

The Girls Program will be split into two different levels Novice and Advanced.

The Bantam-HS Prep Program is for a player who is going to be a Bantam or a preparing for first year of HS hockey.
Schedule
All session will be held at the National Hockey Center. Hours include On/Off Ice Total.
Starting June 8th through Mid-August
Girls- Monday (14 hrs) (Age 4-15)
Mites-Tuesday (14 hrs)
Squirts- Monday and Wednesday (18 hrs)
Pee Wee- Tuesday and Thursday (22.5 hrs)
Bantam-HS Prep- Monday and Wednesday (22.5hrs)

Dry Land Training
Dry land will start 45 minutes before each ice session. Drill techniques include speed, agility, quickness drills, and explosive plyometrics. Also, players will work on stick handling and passing.

Practice Plan
70% Skill Devolvement
25% Skating (forward, backwards, pivoting, crossovers, over speed)
15% Passing
15% Stick handling
15% Shooting
30% Small Area Games
Drills will have a identified skill base. Players will practice as Forward and Defense. A strong effort will be made to minimize standing around. Drills will be explained and demonstrated beforehand so players may flow from drill to drill with minimal downtime.

Registration
Please arrive at least one hour before the first ice session to allow ample time for the player to check in, receive their jersey and T-shirt. Also, this will give your son/daughter time to become familiar with the instructors. Please note that there will be no Dry Land the first session.
