The top four seeds are as follows.

1. Minnetonka

2. Centennial

3. Stillwater

4. Edina Green

Not sure who the last four are yet. I've got a Tonka-Stillwater final. Who've you got?

That's what I'm hoping for. Minnetonka beat Stillwater 6-0 and 3-1 in the regular season games, but we beat them 3-0 at Blaine in a Tourney and we had them beat at Edina in that Tourney but gave up 2 goals in the last 1min 30 secs and then lost in a shoot out.

Any idea of if Eagan Blue advanced? They played us tough right to the end in the playdown game.

Here are the bracketts. Stillwater's path to the Championship game is not going to be easy. Eagan Blue and Centenial very tough teams for us.

Top Brackett

Game#1 1)Minnetonka vs 8)Burnsville

Game#2 4)Edina Green vs 5)Tartan

Bottom Brackett

Game#3 2)Centennial vs 7)Jefferson

Game#4 3)Stillwater vs 6)Eagan Blue

I'm surprised the way they bracketted this because before the playdown tourney they had Centennial in the top Bracket and now they moved them to the bottom :?:

For playdowns centennial was the m2 seed.

My experience is that m2 is opposite m1 in the state brackets.

The bracket to me looks like it should be. why would centennial be in the upper bracket? they got the 2nd seed to state. You wouldnt have the 1st seed and 2nd seed on the same side of the bracket.

From what I've seen Stillwater has only played Eagan Blue once and won 5-0. I don't see what the problem is with them.

I thought the same thing until our boys played them in the playdowns. I was talking to a couple of guys at the game and they said that Eagan Blue started out slow but really improved as the year went on. They played Minnetonka tough, only losing to them 3-2. In the playdowns they played Stillwater very tough, in fact right down to the last second of the game and then lost 4-3.

I think they are right there with Stillwater, Centennial and Edina Green as far as the group below Minnetonka which is clearly the best team. I'm not saying that Minnetonka cannot get knocked off, but they have been consistent all season.

Minnetonka without a doubt is the best U16 team...The question is can they keep up that focus for 3 more games?

The next group...Centennial, Stillwater, Edina Green and Eagan Blue (not neccessarly in this order)...are all capable of taking the prize...each has had signature wins and each has had signature losses/ties....

With Eagan Blue it all depends on which team shows up... the "passing, support the puck carrier group or will it be the evil twin....the I can do it myself, I am so good I don't need to pass, I can get through these 3 guys with my stick handling skills team...

It should be a very fun exciting weekend.

I wonder if Minnetonka's U16 will choke like their varsity did? I think they will.

Congratulations to Minnetonka, an undefeated season is VERY impressive.

A great weekend of hockey with a few suprises....

Tartan over Edina on Friday and then Edina losing to Burnsville in OT on Sat.

Eagan shutout by Centennial...Eagan can't capitalize on powerplay opportunities.

Minnetonka winning Sun 7 to 0 over Centennial.

My Final standings:
#1 Minnetonka
#2 Centennial
#3 Stillwater
#4 Eagan lost Fri but then had 17 goal's while only giving up 6
#5 Tartan
#6 Edina
#7 Burnsville
#8 Jefferson

whats your top 8?

Whats that called when you almost win?.... oh yeah, losing.. and we won that series of games 3-1. Minnetonka U16 state champs!! 27-0 record. Hey how did them ponies do in plymouth at the end of the year? and you shouldve cameto our banner raising ceremony. it was a blast.
