Re: Moorhead Player
It was Moorhead captain who got hurt, #17 Jake Krause. He was unconscious on the ice for a while, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. While he was laying on the ice i guess he wanted to move but they wouldn't let him for precautionary reasons. Rumor has it that he it going to be just fine.

Jake is OK
Thankfully, Jake Krause was well enough to make it back to the arena in time to ride home on the team bus.

Re: Jake is OK
He is obviously a difference maker. It would be good that he gets healthy. Without him, Moorhead may not beat Grand Rapids, and with him Moorhead most likely beats East.

_________________

BOB

Re: Jake is OK
Good to hear Jake is doing well!
After watching that replay a few times, coupled with the lack of any visible movement, I was really concerned this could have been a life-altering injury. Thank god its not!

Condition
Glad to hear he's ok. Sounds like a Grade 2-3 concussion, moderate to severe, depending on other symptoms. Typically out for at least 2 weeks after all symptoms resolve. Many programs now using the software package to assess post concussion effects. Hoep they have it available.

Good luck to him and the Spuds, they are a great team.

Re: Condition
Jake is suffering from a very on-going headache due to the concussion. Neither him(Jake) or the Moorhead trainer are certain if he will be ready to go by the schwan cup. If the headaches go away and most of the pain is gone, look for the Spuds to do very well at the Xcel next week.
