|

| I think the best U14 A goalie would have to be the Blaine goalie because she carried her team to state or the Andover goalie who is just amazing in net. And for the B I think the Centennial goalie because she kept her team in every game. Tell me who you think the best U14 A and B goalie is. |

| The kid from Moorhead carried her team to state. 50 save shutout in region finals. She is outstanding. |

a) The subject was U14 goalies, so what could this comment possibly mean?
b) Maybe since you're so smart you should start your own thread for goalies who are U14-eligible but played JV or V. Personally I know of 5 or 6 of these in the metro area--all of them got their butts handed to them when they played V so it's hard to tell which of them is good. |

| Centennial Black, Minnetonka, Roseau all look good, Bloomington not bad, Chaska goalie faced a ton of shots all season and made almost as many saves. Moorhead gave up a couple softies at State, but only watched her for two games; she was great on the low shots, though, with a good glove. |

Centennial varsity had a U14 eligible goalie this year (8th grader) as a backup. She went 2-1-1 with a 2.74 GAA and .862 Save % when the starter was injured. Wouldn't classify those stats as "butts handed to them [her]". |

The Moorhead goalie did a outstanding job in state and regions. I was amazed on how she played all the games in regions, and never in one of the games I saw did she ever give up. Those are the kind of kids I love to watch play. Saving 50 shoots in a game and getting a shut out if beyond excellent! |

| I say the blaine goalie because in one of my topics i talked about how she is the reason they won against Wayzta in the State Tournament. It's amazing how she stopped 25 out of the 27 to beat Wayzta in overtime when her team only shot 7 pucks. Plus not to mention getting 6 shutouts in arow including games against Sauk Rapids, Elk River, River Lakes, and more. But on the other hand the Minnetonka goalie is amazing, she seemed to be on fire in Regions and in Districts but that's what she always seems like to me. I never seen a better Minnetonka girl goalie than her, wouldnt be surprised if they both make it far. |

| We tend to be a little biased towards our own goalie, but you are not going to find many much better than Slater from Roseau! |

| I watched the Roseau goalie play two games at State and once during the season and I would place her amongst the best I've seen. |

| i dont think the Roseau goalie was one of the best cause she didnt do as good as the other goalies like Edina's or Blaine's who seemed to not only to lead their teams to the state championship game but were the only ones keeping the other team from scoring alot |

Our team played against the Roseau goalie and we only put one in the net. She made 30+ saves. I'd say she's pretty good; besides, she lives close to the boarder. I think she beaths in our fine Canadian air which is why she is pretty good. |

Mtka is set at HS goalie for the next 4 years with the #2 goalie behind Friend only a sophmore and made 15 Advanced Nat'l team (and some think she'll give Friend a tough challenge). 14U Mtka goalie was great past season including an 80+ save game against state champ Edina - kept her team in every game. May or may not be the best, but played the toughest schedule (about half of all games against teams that made it to state) of any 14U goalie and likely had the best stats.
No, I'm not her mom or other relative. I'll leave it to the expert goalie coaches to decide, but based on strength of schedule, stats, and keeping her team in every game, she's certainly amongst the very best. |
